SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
-
Secure the speakers properly when installing them in the vehicle. If the component is disconnected while driving, it can cause serious harm to the occupants of the vehicle or another vehicle.
-
Before installing the components, store the product if possible in its original packaging to avoid accidental damage to the product.
-
Be careful when installing and removing the speaker! Do not drop the speaker to avoid damage to its moving parts.
-
When working with tools, follow the safety rules.
-
Before installation, turn off the head unit and all other audio devices to avoid damaging them.
-
Make sure that the location of the speaker does not hinder the proper operation of the vehicle’s mechanical and electrical devices.
-
Do not install components in locations exposed to water, excessive humidity, high or low temperatures, dust or dirt.
ATTENTION!!! The product can be operated at +5 °C (41F) to +40 °C (104F). In case of moisture condensation, let the product dry. -
When doing plumbing, drilling or cutting work on the car, make sure there are no wires, brake lines, fuel lines or other structural elements under the work area. Follow the safety rules! Use safety glasses and gloves.
-
When routing the speaker cables, make sure they are not in contact with sharp edges or moving mechanical devices. Make sure they are firmly fixed and protected along the entire length.
-
The diameter of the speaker cables must be selected according to the length and the applied power.
-
Never stretch the cables outside the car and near the moving parts of the car. This can lead to the destruction of the insulation layer, short circuit, etc. fire.
-
To protect the cables use rubber seals if the wire runs through a hole in the plate, or other similar materials if it is located near the parts exposed to heat.
ATTENTION!!! High sound pressure can harm your health!
Please use common sense when controlling the volume!
WIRE TIMING DIAGRAMS
Do not expose your amplifier to loads below the value specified by the
manufacturer.
Several examples of connection types are given on the pages below. Use these
examples to determine the required load impedance of your connection.
Serial connection of the speakers
voice coil | total impedance |
---|---|
4 ohm x2 | 8 ohms |
voice coil | total impedance |
---|---|
4 ohm x3 | 12 ohms |
voice coil | total impedance |
---|---|
4 ohm x4 | 16 ohms |
Parallel connection of the speakers
voice coil | total impedance |
---|---|
4 ohm x2 | 2 ohms |
voice coil | total impedance |
---|---|
4 ohm x3 | 1.33 ohms |
voice coil | total impedance |
---|---|
4 ohm x4 | 1 ohm |
The mixed connection between the speakers
voice coil | total impedance |
---|---|
4 ohm x4 | 4 ohms |
ATTENTION!!! High sound pressure can harm your health!
Please use common sense when controlling the volume!
Selecting the diameter of speaker cables
Use the table below to select the desired diameter based on length and power
consumption.
FILTERING, recommended AMPLIFIER settings
The right choice of ampLifier, its settings, filters, and connections largely
affect the life of your audio system. You should choose an amplifier with a
nominal power, not exceeding the nominal power of the speakers. Proper
coordination of the head unit (HU) with the amplifier allows a clean,
undistorted signal to be applied to the components to avoid overheating and
voice coil damage. Recommended settings of the amplifier and HU: The volume of
HU should not exceed 80%. The amplifier’s sensitivity should be set to 50%.
The recommended filter settings:
The high-pass filter HPF (the filter that cuts all frequencies below those set
for the filter) should be set to 150-250 Hz (24 dB/oct) or 250-350 Hz (12
dB/oct ).
The low-pass filter LPF (the filter that cuts all frequencies above those set
for the filter) should be set to 8-10 kHz (12 dB/oct).
recommended amplifiers: AAK-OGO2500.1D, AAK-OGO1500.2D, AAK-180.4, AAK-200.4D,
AAK-201.4D, MA-150.4, MA-130.4, MA-80.4, MA-50.4.
