Intended use

This product is only intended for:

  • Indoor use in a household or a similar environment such as:
    • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
    • farm houses;
    • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
    • bed and breakfast type environments;
    • catering and similar non-retail applications.
  • Household use, such as storage of food and beverages.
    This refrigerating product is not intended to be used as a built-in appliance.

Safety for children and people with disabilities

WARNING!
Only let the following groups use the product if they are supervised or if instructions are provided to them about how to use the product in a safe way. They must understand the hazards involved.

  • Children. (Children younger than 8 years old must be continuously supervised.)
  • People with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities.
  • People with lack of experience and knowledge.

General safety

WARNING!

  • Take care when moving the product. The product is heavy.
  • Do not stand on any parts of the product or use any parts of the product as supports.

WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!

  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • If the power socket is loose, do not plug in the power plug. There is a risk of electric shock and fire.
  • Do not pull on the power cord when you unplug the product. Grab the power plug firmly and pull it out of the power socket.
  • Do not damage the power cord or use the power cord if it is damaged or worn. Any damage to the cord may cause a short circuit, fire, and electric shock.

WARNING!
Risk of fire!

  • The following symbol can be found on the product. It is a warning and indicates that the refrigerant and insulation blowing gas are flammable.
  • During transportation and installation of the product, ensure that none of the components of the refrigerant circuit become damaged. The refrigerant, isobutane (R600a), contained within the refrigerant circuit is flammable.
  • If the refrigerant circuit is damaged, avoid open flames and sources of ignition and thoroughly ventilate the area surrounding the product.
  • Do not alter the specifications or modify the product in any way.
  • If the power socket is loose, do not plug in the power plug. There is a risk of electric shock or fire.
  • Do not damage the power cord or use the power cord if it is damaged or worn. Any damage to the cord may cause a short circuit, fire, and electric shock.

Safety during installation
WARNING!
Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
WARNING!

  • When positioning the product, ensure the power cord and power plug are not trapped or damaged. A damaged power plug may overheat and cause a fire.
  • When positioning the product, ensure the power plug is accessible.
  • Do not install the product in a location with direct sunlight.
  • Keep ventilation openings outside the product clear of obstruction.
  • Do not install the product without sufficient space and air ventilation around the product. This leads to overheating.
  • Do not install the back of the product too close to a wall. There is a risk of fire if the compressor gets overheated.
  • Do not install the product close to radiators or cookers.

WARNING!

  • Do not connect the product to the power socket if the product is damaged. Contact the retailer from which you purchased the product.
  • The product must employ a dedicated power socket, meaning that the power socket must not be shared with other products.
  • Do not locate multiple portable socket outlets or portable power supplies behind the product.
  • The power plug must match the power socket equipped with a ground wire.
  • Do not use extension cords and do not lengthen the power cord.
  • After positioning the product, it is recommended to wait at least four hours before connecting the product to the mains. This allows the oil to flow back in the compressor.
  • If the fluctuation of voltage in the installation area exceeds the single phase alternating current of 220~240V/50Hz, use an AC automatic voltage regulator of more than 350W.

Safety during operation
WARNING!

  • Do not store explosive substances in this product, such as aerosol cans that contain a flammable propellant.
  • Do not store flammable gas or liquids in the product, there is a risk of an explosion.

WARNING!
Keep burning candles, lamps and other items with naked flames away from the product to avoid the risk of fire.

WARNING!

  • Do not place food or containers in the freezer compartment with wet hands when the fridge freezer is running, especially metal containers, to avoid the risk of skin abrasions and ice burns.

  • Do not consume frozen food, such as ice popsicles and ice cubes, straight from the freezer. This may cause ice burns.
    WARNING!

  • Keep ventilation openings inside the product clear of obstruction.

  • Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the product, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

  • Do not overload the shelves, door racks or put too much food in the crisper drawers to avoid items falling and causing injury or damage to the fridge freezer.

WARNING!
Do not operate the product without the interior lighting lamp cover.

CAUTION!

  • Do not place hot items near the plastic components of the product.
  • Do not place food products directly against the air outlet on the rear wall.

CAUTION!

  • The storage recommendations should be strictly adhered to.
  • Food needs to be packed into bags before it is put into the refrigerator. Liquids need to be stored in bottles or capped containers in order to avoid a spill, as the design structure of the product is not easy to clean.
  • Store pre-packed frozen food in accordance with the frozen food manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Do not freeze frozen food again once it has thawed out.
  • Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks in the freezer compartment as it creates pressure in the container, which may cause it to explode and damage the product.

Safety during maintenance
WARNING!

  • Any electrical work required to do the servicing of the product should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.
  • This product must be serviced by an authorized Service Center, and only genuine spare parts must be used.

WARNING!
Before any cleaning or performing any maintenance of the product, unplug the product from the power socket.

WARNING!
Do not use tools or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

WARNING!
Do not replace the lamps in the product. If the lamps are broken, contact the support.

CAUTION!

  • Do not use metal objects, steam cleaner, thinner, car detergent, clorox, ethereal oil, abrasive cleansers or organic solvent such as benzene for cleaning. They may damage the surface of the product and may cause fire.
  • Do not use a sharp object to remove frost from the product. Use a plastic scraper.

Disposal
WARNING!

  • To prevent children from getting trapped inside, remove the doors before disposing of the product.
  • Some older models have a spring lock on the door. Make the spring lock unusable before disposing of the product.
  • To prevent children from getting an electric shock, cut the power cord before disposing of the product.

WARNING!

  • Ensure that the tubing of the refrigerant circuit is not damaged prior to disposal.
  • Refrigerators contain refrigerant and gases in the insulation. Refrigerant and gases must be disposed of professionally at an authorised waste disposal centre as they may cause eye injuries or ignition. The refrigerant and insulation blowing gas are flammable. Do not expose to flame.
    Dispose of packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner. Recycling packaging, while observing national and local regulations, can reduce the consumption of raw materials and the amount of waste in landfill sites.
    This product is marked in compliance with European Directive 2012/19/EU, Waste Electrical and Electronic
    Equipment (WEEE). The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product should not be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
    By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. For more detailed information about recycling of this product, please contact the relevant municipal body in charge of waste management, your household waste disposal service or the store where you purchased the product.

Refrigerator compartment

The refrigerator compartment is suitable for storing a variety of fruits, vegetables, beverages and other food for
consumption in the short term.
The compartment consists of door racks, shelves, wine rack and two drawers.
NOTE!
This product is most energy efficient with all shelves and drawers in their original position. However, the shelves can be removed for cleaning or to get more space in the refrigerator.

NOTE!
This product contains a light source of energy efficiency class G.

Freezer compartment

The freezer compartment can keep food fresh for a long time and is suitable for storing meat, fish, ice cream and other food that is not intended to be consumed in the short term.
The compartment consists of door racks, shelves and two drawers.

NOTE!
This product is most energy efficient with all shelves and drawers in their original position.

Settings and modes

Super Freeze
Freezes the food faster than usual. See section “Turn on and turn off Super Freeze mode”, page 14.

Artificial Intelligence
Automatically adjusts the temperature. This is the default mode. See section “Turn on and turn off Artificial Intelligence mode”, page 14.

Holiday
Adjusts the temperature for longer periods of non-use. See section “Turn on and turn off Holiday mode”, page 14.

TEMP.
Adjusts the temperature. See section “Change the temperature in the refrigerator”, page 13 and section “Change the temperature in the freezer”, page 13.

Unlock the controls
The controls are locked after 20 seconds if no button has been pressed and the doors are closed. When the fridge freezer is powered on for the first time the backlighting of the icons will turn off after 60 seconds. Unlock the controls to use them.

  1. Touch and hold MODE/UNLOCK for 3 seconds until is no longer displayed.
    All buttons are now unlocked.

The controls are locked and is displayed after 20 seconds if no button has been pressed and the doors are closed.

Change the temperature in the refrigerator
Set the average temperature for the whole refrigerator compartment.

  1. In unlocked state, touch ZONE until is flashing.
  2. Touch TEMP. to cycle through the available temperatures: (8°C, 7°C, 6°C, 5°C, 4°C, 3°C, 2°C)
    The temperature is now set.
    NOTE!
    The default temperature is 5 °C. The recommended temperature setting is 4 °C when the refrigerator is initially powered on.

NOTE!
Temperatures inside each compartment may vary from the temperature value displayed on the panel, depending on how much food is stored and where the food is placed. High or low room temperature may also affect the actual temperature inside the refrigerator.

CAUTION!

  • A high-temperature setting will accelerate food waste.
  • A lower temperature setting than necessary wastes energy.

Change the temperature in the freezer

  1. In unlocked state, touch ZONE until  is flashing.
  2. Touch TEMP. to cycle through the available temperatures: (between -14°C to -24°C)
    The temperature is now set.

NOTE!
The default temperature is -18 °C. This is the recommended temperature setting when the refrigerator is initially powered on.

CAUTION!

  • A high-temperature setting will accelerate food waste.
  • A lower temperature setting than necessary wastes energy.

Turn on and turn off Super Freeze mode
Use Super Freeze mode to rapidly lower the temperature. Doing so freezes the food faster than usual. This keeps the food fresh for longer and vitamins and nutrients are preserved more efficiently.

  1. In unlocked state, touch MODE/UNLOCK to cycle through the available modes until is displayed.
    After 10 seconds, Super Freeze mode is turned on and the temperature is set to -24°C.

  2. Wait about 24 hours.
    NOTE! The time for Super Freeze mode to take full effect depends on the amount of food. The recommended time for a maximum amount of food to be frozen is 24 hours.

  3. In unlocked state, touch MODE/UNLOCK to cycle through the available modes until is displayed.
    After 10 seconds, Super Freeze mode is turned off and the temperature is set to -18°C.
    Super Freeze mode is automatically turned off after 52 hours and the temperature setting in the freezer reverts back to the previous setting.

Turn on and turn off Artificial Intelligence mode
Use Artificial Intelligence mode to let the fridge freezer automatically adjust the temperature. This is the default mode.

  1. In unlocked state, touch MODE/UNLOCK to cycle through the available modes until  is displayed.
  2. After 10 seconds, Artificial Intelligence mode is turned on, the temperature in the refrigerator is set to 5°C and the temperature in the freezer is set to -18°C .
  3. In unlocked state, touch TEMP. to change the temperature or touch MODE/UNLOCK to cycle through the available modes.
    After 10 seconds, Artificial Intelligence mode is turned off and the temperature is set according to the selected setting or mode.

NOTE!
The recommended temperature setting in the refrigerator is 4 °C.

Turn on and turn off Holiday mode
Use Holiday mode to adjust the temperature for longer periods of non-use.

CAUTION!
Do not store any food in the refrigerator when this mode is used.

  1. In unlocked state, touch MODE/UNLOCK to cycle through the available modes until is displayed.
    After 10 seconds, Holiday mode is turned on, the temperature in the refrigerator is set to 15°C and the temperature in the freezer is set to -18°C .

  2. In unlocked state, touch MODE/UNLOCK to cycle through the available modes until or  is displayed.

  3. After 10 seconds, Holiday mode is turned off and the temperature is set according to the selected mode.

Before first use
Prepare the fridge freezer for the first use before plugging it in and storing food.

  1. Make sure the fridge freezer is unpacked and placed properly.
  2. Leave the fridge freezer to stand for at least 4 hours before plugging it in.
  3. Plug in the power cord.
  4. Let the fridge freezer run empty for at least 2 hours on low temperature settings.
    NOTE! The default temperature is 5 °C. The recommended temperature setting is 4 °C when the refrigerator is initially powered on.

Your fridge freezer is now is ready for use.

NOTE!
Storing too much food when your fridge freezer is first turned on may affect the refrigerating performance negatively.
