Collect 20-30ml of initial urine stream
Be sure to collect only the initial stream of urine (not mid-stream). Do not overfill as too much urine may affect your results. -
Transfer 2ml to the tube
Using the pipette, transfer 2 ml from the collection cup into the tube filling between the black lines. Re-cap the tube tightly. -
Discard the remaining urine
Dispose of remaining urine in the toilet. Discard the collection cup and pipette as regular garbage. -
Fill out and apply your tube label
Specimens returned without a completed tube label will not be processed. -
Prepare your kit for return
Place the now closed tube into the biohazard bag provided and seal it closed. Ensure the Switch Health box is empty and add the biohazard bag containing the closed tube and absorbent sleeve into it. Close and seal the box using the circular sticker provided. Locate the Purolator bag and ensure the waybill (shipping label) and LS labels are present and adhered to the bag. Place the blue Switch Health box into the Purolator bag and seal it. -
