First use and pairing

  • To connect the speaker to a Bluetooth-enabled device for the first time, turn on the speaker by pressing the power button for 3 seconds.
  • You will hear the speaker its starting tune. The speaker will automatically enter pairing mode. You will hear two low-pitched beeps and the Bluetooth indicator will start flashing white.
  • Open Settings / Bluetooth on your device and select “Diesel Connect_D” from the list of available devices. You will hear two high-pitched beeps when the connection is successful, and the Bluetooth indicator will be solid white.
  • When the speaker is turned on anew, it will automatically connect to the device it has been previously paired to. If the device is not available or within range, the speaker will enter pairing mode and can be manually paired to another compatible device.

INFORMATION

  • Power On
    • Press the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the speaker.You will hear the speaker’s power on tune. The Bluetooth indicator will turn on and the speaker will go into pairing mode.
  • Power Off
    • Press the power button for 3 seconds to turn off the speaker. You will hear the the speaker’s power off tune and the Bluetooth indicator will tum off.
  • Bluetooth Mode
    • Bluetooth is the speaker’s default mode. It will automatically go into Bluetooth mode unless you connect it to another device via audio cable. You will hear two high-pitched beeps once your device is connected.
  • Disconnecting Your Device
    • To disconnect the speaker from a Bluetooth device, press and hold the mode button for 3 seconds. You will hear the speaker beep twice and the speaker will reenter pairing mode.
  • Auxiliary Mode
    • Tum on the speaker. Use a 3.5 mm audio cable to connect the speaker with your device. You will hear a single beep when the audio cable is connected to the speaker correctly. The Bluetooth indicator will switch off.
  • Mode Selection
    • To go from Bluetooth mode to auxiliary mode, press the mode button once. You will hear a single beep when switching to auxiliary mode. The auxiliary mode will only be available if the speaker is connected to a device via audio cable.

Play/Pause Button

  • Play or pause the music: press once.
  • Answer an incoming call: press once.
  • End a call: press once.
  • Reject a call: press and hold for 2 seconds.
  • TWS pairing: press and hold for 2 seconds. You will hear the speaker beep. (More information on TWS pairing further in the manual.)
  • Disconnect TWS: press and hold for 2 seconds. You will hear a speaker beep.
  • Redial the last number: press twice.

Volume Buttons

  • Volume up: press the volume + button repeatedly.
  • Volume down: press the volume – button repeatedly.
  • Next track: press and hold the volume + button.
  • Previous track: press and hold the volume – button.
  • Reset the Speaker: With the speaker on, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. The speaker will turn off and return to its factory settings.

Automatic Power-Off

  • If it is not connected to a device via Bluetooth and not playing audio, the speaker will turn off automatically after 10 minutes to save battery power.

Charging

Use the USB-C cable provided to connect the speaker to a power source. While charging, the LED indicator will be solid red. The LED will turn off when the speaker is fully charged.

TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Pairing

  • To connect 2 Diesel Connect_Ds to a device, first turn on both speakers and make sure they are not connected to any device.
  • Press and hold the play/pause button on one of the speakers for 2 seconds. This will be the primary speaker. You will hear the speaker beep. After releasing the play/pause button, it may take a moment for the speakers to connect to each other.
  • Go to Settings / Bluetooth on your device and select “Diesel
  • Connect _D” from the list of available Bluetooth devices to pair both speakers with your device.
  • The primary speaker’s Bluetooth indicator will flash white every 3 seconds. The secondary speaker’s LED will be solid white. When using 2 connected speakers to create a home entertainment system or work setup, place the primary speaker to your left and the secondary one to your right.

Important Safety Instructions

  • Read all the instructions before using the product.
  • To avoid accidental ingestion, keep small objects included in the box away from small children and pets.
  • Do NOT use the speaker at a high volume for an extended period of time.
  • To avoid hearing damage, use your speaker at a comfortable, moderate volume level. Long-term exposure to loud music or sounds may cause hearing damage. It is best to avoid high volume levels when using the speaker.
  • Do not use the speaker when operating a motor vehicle, a bicycle, or machinery or when your inability to hear outside sounds may present a danger to you or to others.
  • Use caution and follow applicable laws regarding mobile- phone and speaker use in traffic.
  • Do not drop, sit on, insert objects into, or allow the speaker to be immersed in water for longer than 30 minutes or deeper than 1 meter (3 feet).
  • Before cleaning or wiping the speaker make sure the speaker is switched off and unplugged from any type of cable.
  • Do not use the speaker in excess of its output rating.
  • Use this product only with an agency-approved power supply that meets local regulatory requirements.
  • Do not use a speaker that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may cause fire, explosion, or result in injury to persons.
  • Do not disassemble the speaker. Incorrect reassembly may cause fire or result in injury to yourself or others.
  • Do not open, crush, or expose the speaker to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperatures above 212°F / 100°C may cause explosions.
  • Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts.
  • This product contains magnetic material. Consult your physician on whether this might affect your implantable medical device.
  • Do not make unauthorized alterations to this product.
