MU104014A Network Master Pro
Product Information
The Network Master Pro MT1040A is a multiplatform device
designed for field testing. It consists of a main frame and various
measurement modules that can be configured to match the user’s
testing requirements. The main frame controls the test modules,
which can be changed freely to create a custom configuration.
The MT1040A features a 9-inch active TFT display with a touch
screen interface. It also includes a power switch for easy
operation.
The product comes with standard accessories, including a high
power supply, line cord, soft case, rear panel kit, AC adaptor,
Li-ion battery, quick reference guide, stylus, utilities ROM, and
handle.
Additional software options are available for the MT1040A,
including connectivity for WLAN/Bluetooth and site over remote
access connect.
The product supports module configurations for different
transport and optical measurements. These include 400G (QSFP-DD)
multirate module, 400G (OSFP) multirate module, 100G multirate
module, 10G multirate module, and OTDR module.
Product Usage Instructions

Connect the mainframe to a power source using the provided AC
adapter. -
Attach the desired measurement modules to the mainframe by
inserting them into the appropriate slots. -
If using the OTDR module, connect the necessary fiber optic
cables to the module. -
Turn on the power switch located on the mainframe.

Use the touch screen interface to navigate through the
different measurement options and select the desired test
parameters. -
Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the desired tests
and measurements. -
If using any optional software features, access them through
the menu and configure them according to your needs. -
Refer to the provided quick reference guide and utilities ROM
for additional guidance on using the product. -
After completing the tests, power off the mainframe and
disconnect it from the power source.

Method for Adding Measurement Modules
Preparation 1: Version up the software for MT1040A Install the latest software
in the MT1040A. This software can be obtained from the Anritsu web site.
Preparation 2: Remove the battery pack from Mainframe 1) Disconnect the AC
cable. 2) Use screw driver or Coin and remove the battery lid from MT1040A.
Attaching the Transport (MU10001xA) or OTDR (MU10002xA) Module 1) Remove four
screws of former module and replace to the next screws.
Choose the bolts matching the added module. Use the B0740A for transport
(MU10001xA) or OTDR module.

Align the OTDR module horizontally with the MT1040A as shown below. Align the connectors on the left side.

front on a plain surface.
Loosen the screws (shown by the blue circle) on rear side of the connected
module.
2) After loosing the four screws, lift up the connected module with holding
both sides. If you cannot lift up, loosen the four screws again. You can see
the panel as below.
