Mirror Cover Installation Instructions

Please read instructions carefully before installing. Photos are for demonstration purposes only

For Overlay Mirror covers:

1. Carefully test fit product on application site before removing the double-sided tape or the protective film

2. Inspect application site to make sure it is free of dirt, oil, grease, or wax. Clean the application site with water-based solutions like Isopropyl Alcohol or Windex to avoid damaging the finish then dry the surface well.

3. 4. Apply included or preferred adhesive promoter to application site. Promoter is only needed on areas that will contact the tape.

4. Remove protective film from double sided tape. In case of residue on the finish, please use a microfiber cloth and alcohol to clean the surface.

5. Carefully align product on application site, pressing firmly over entire site to ensure proper adhesion.

For best results, do not attempt installation in cold temperatures. Install in 50°F or above for glue to properly adhere part to surface.

For Replacement Mirror Covers

To remove the OEM Mirror cap:

Use a flat head screwdriver to separate the mirror cap from the mirror body. Use this to work into the crease between the mirror cap and the mirror body. Use light pressure to pry the cover off, careful not to break any of the clips. Grab the mirror cap and begin to pull, the mirror caps should begin to pop off. Continue to pull the mirror cap until it can safely be removed.

Not all mirror cap clips are in the same location and removal may differ slightly, use flathead to work around the edge of the cap and locate all the clips

To install Trim Illusion replacement mirror cover:

Place the replacement mirror cover in the correct installation position with each clip aligned with the OEM clip insertion points and push the replacement cover towards the mirror until it snaps into place. Do this on all sides of the mirror cap to securely fasten into place.
