- The grille is specifically designed to be installed over an OEM factory grille that has chrome strips. Before installation, these chrome strips need to be removed using a flathead screwdriver. The grille will not fit properly until the strips are removed.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before installing, carefully test fit the grille on the application site without removing the double-sided tape or protective film.
- Inspect the application site to ensure it is clean and free from dirt, oil, grease, or wax. Use water-based solutions like Isopropyl Alcohol or Windex to clean the surface. Dry the surface well.
- Apply the included adhesive promoter or your preferred adhesive promoter to the areas of the application site that will come into contact with the tape.
- Remove the protective film from the double-sided tape. If there is any residue on the surface, use a microfiber cloth and alcohol to clean it.
- Carefully align the grille on the application site and press firmly over the entire site to ensure proper adhesion. If the grille has clips, push until the clips snap into place.
- Please read the instructions carefully before installing. Photos are for demonstration purposes only
- For best results, do not attempt installation in cold temperatures. Install at 50°F or above for glue to properly adhere part to the surface.
- If installing a Mesh grille over an OEM factory grille that has chrome strips as seen in this picture the strips need to be removed prior to installation.
- Use the flathead screwdriver to pop the chrome strips of the grille off. Our grille will not fit properly until strips are removed.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
- Carefully test the fit of the grille on the application site before removing the double-sided tape or the protective film.
- Some Grilles are equipped with clips to hold the grille in place, be sure not to push the grille in and lock clips into place before removing double-sided tape film.
- Inspect the application site to make sure it is free of dirt, oil, grease, or wax. Clean the application site with water-based solutions like Isopropyl Alcohol or Windex to avoid damaging the finish then dry the surface well.
- Apply included or preferred adhesive promoter to the application site. The promoter is only needed on areas that will contact the tape.
- Remove the protective film from the double-sided tape. In case of residue on the finish, please use a microfiber cloth and alcohol to clean the surface.
- Carefully align the grille on the application site, pressing firmly over the entire site to ensure proper adhesion. **For Grilles with clips, be sure to push until clips snap into place.
