Subject: K00456 – Bin Thermostat Kit
FOR USE WITH COKE FS9000 OR FS9100DISPENSER W/ADAPTER KIT
Warning
Authorized Service Representatives are obligated to follow industry standard
safety procedures, including, but not limited to, local/national regulations
for disconnection / lock out / tag out procedures for all utilities including
electric, gas, water and steam.
Warning
Disconnect electric power to the ice machine and dispenser at the electric
switch box before proceeding.
DANGER
Failure to disconnect the power at the main power supply disconnect could
result in serious injury or death. The power switch DOES NOT disconnect all
incoming power . Two or more people are required to move this equipment to
prevent tipping..

This instruction pertains to two dispenser models. Follow the instructions for
the model you are working on either FS9000 or FS9100 see page 5.
FS9000 Dispensers

Move the ice machine and dispenser away from the wall for easier access.

If installing for a dual evaporator ice machine use bracket with the shorter top flange. If installing for a single evaporator ice machine use bracket with the longer top flange. Insert thermostat plug through the large hole in the bracket and push probe into hole until seated and fasten with screw to prevent rotation.

Remove all panels and control box cover from the ice machine.

If an ice machine is already installed on the dispenser, raise and support the installation side of the ice machine.

Hook the bracket assembly onto the respective back spacer flange.
Locate bracket assembly as follows:
Dual evaporator – tight against notch in back spacer.
Single evaporator – 11.00” from right side of adapter. -
Route thermistor wire out towards the back of the dispenser (lower the ice machine, if supported). Remove unused 7/8” diameter knockout on the back panel, snap fit the bushing over the exposed panel hole, and route wire into the ice machine control board compartment. Internally the cable should be routed as to avoid contact with high voltage, high heat, or sharp objects.

Connect the probe molex connector into the bin level port on the control board as shown.

Remove rear panel screw nearest to the entry point of the probe wire. Secure open zip tie to the panel using the mounting screw hole. Wrap the external probe wiring in a single loop and fasten it to the panel with the zip tie.

Reinstall control box cover and all panels.

Reconnect power to the ice machine and dispenser. Turn on the ice machine.

Follow the probe programming guide to complete the installation.
PROBE PROGRAMMING GUIDE
- With the ice machine in the Off mode push the menu button.
- Scroll down to “Set-up”.
- Push the right arrow or check mark.
- Scroll down to “IcebinSensor” and push the right arrow or check mark.
- Scroll down to “Bev Dispen” and put a check mark into (√).
- Scroll down to “Exit” and push right arrow.
- Push left arrow and scroll down to “Energy Saver”.
- Push right arrow two times.
- Scroll down to “Bin Level” and put a check mark into (√).
- Scroll down to “Settings” under “Bin Level” and push the right arrow.
- Scroll down to “High” and put a check mark into (√).
- Scroll down to “Exit” and push the right arrow.
- Save changes by pushing the right arrow again.
- Push MENU and then the left arrow.
- Push Power button and Home screen will change to: “Making Ice” or “Standby” “Bin Lvl Mode” “[Setting High>]”
FS9100 Dispensers

Move the ice machine and dispenser away from the wall for easier access.

Remove panels and control box cover

If ice machine is on a dispenser:
A. Remove fasteners
B. Raise and support ice machine -
Secure probe to 9100 bracket.

Attach bracket in position shown.

Secure bracket to adapter using screw provided.

Lower/place ice machine on dispenser and secure ice machine to adapter with fasteners. It is important to confirm that the ice maker is slid rearward contacting the bracket and back spacer flange before re-fastening (close gap).

Remove unused 7/8” diameter knockout on the back panel and snap fit the bushing over the exposed panel. Internally the cable must be routed to avoid contact with high voltage, high heat, or sharp objects.

Connect the probe molex connector into the T5 thermistor port on the control board as shown.

Sanitize the dispenser, adapter and ice machine.

Reconnect power to the ice machine and dispenser. Turn on the ice machine.

The control board will automatically detect the probe and control the ice level after the setup wizard is completed. Keystrokes from Home screen – Settings/Reset Defaults/ Require Setup Wizard or Reset Factory Defaults.
