HEBEANLAGE Homac 400 Adaptable Waste Pump For Toilet Macerator Pump

Product Information

  • The Adaptable Waste Pump for Toilet Macerator Pump, also known as Hebeanlage, is a powerful pump designed to pump away waste from toilets and other sanitary appliances. It features a 600W motor with a horizontal discharge capability of up to 90 meters. The pump can handle water temperatures up to 65°C (80°C for up to 1 hour) and has a maximum flow rate of 145 liters per minute. The voltage for the pump is 110-120V/60Hz, and it has a vertical discharge capability of 9 meters. It is equipped with thermal protection and has an IPX4 rating for water resistance.

  • The pump has various inlet and outlet sizes to accommodate different plumbing configurations. The inlet for the toilet is 100mm, while the general inlet size is 40mm. The outlet size
options include 23mm, 28mm, 32mm, and 44mm. The pump also features an optional inlet size of 40mm and includes an air-vent/carbon filter. It comes with a repair panel for easy maintenance.

  • The pump requires the installation of an outlet check valve to prevent backflow. It is recommended to install an additional manual check valve for repair purposes. When connecting the side inlet, it is suggested to lift the shower 14cm high. Using a filter in the shower and lavatory is advised to reduce hair from entering the machine.

  • The pump should be fixed securely in place using the provided fixation method. The discharge pipe should be inserted into the check valve only 1-2cm to avoid excessive insertion.

  • The top repair panel can be opened to easily access and remove any blockages near the blade. The minimum size required from the toilet outlet to the rear wall is 245mm. It is recommended to use two 45-degree elbows instead of one 90-degree elbow to reduce friction loss.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Warning: Ensure there is no dripping water from the toilet cistern or any other sanitary appliances, as this may cause the unit to activate repeatedly.
  2. Operating Principle: The pump is automatically controlled by a float switch and is triggered when the flushing system is actuated. It functions similarly to a conventional toilet.
  3. Installation:
    • Toilet Connection: Connect the pump to the toilet outlet, ensuring there are no leaks.
    • Connection of Discharge Pipework: Insert the discharge elbow into the rubber discharge pipe, turn it to the desired direction, and secure it with the provided metal jubilee clip. Connect the hose to the elbow using a metal jubilee clip, avoiding any kinks. If using 32mm discharge pipework, use the supplied plastic reducer. Avoid using 90 degree elbows and opt for smooth bends or two 45-degree bends together to minimize friction loss.
    • Connection to the Electrical Supply: The electrical installation should be carried out by a qualified person. Connect the pump to a fully earthed electrical supply.
  4. Commissioning the Unit: After making electrical and pipe connections, flush the toilet once. The motor should run for 5 to 10 seconds to clear the waste. If it runs for more than 20 seconds, check for clear pipework and ensure the discharge hose is not kinked. Verify that all seals and connections are watertight by flushing the toilet and checking the discharge pipework and other sanitary appliances’ connections.

WARNING !!!
There should be no dripping of water from the toilet cistern or any other sanitary appliances. If there is, this will cause the unit to activate repeatedly as it pumps the water away.

CONNECTION OF DISCHARGE PIPEWORK
Insert the discharge elbow into the rubber discharge pipe, turn to the desired direction and secure with the metal jubilee clip provided (36-50mm). Then connect the hose to it using
the 20-32mm metal jubilee clip, making sure the hose is not kinked. A 22-32mm plastic reducer is supplied if 32mm discharge pipework is to be installed.

TECHNICAL ADVICE FOR DISCHARGE PIPEWORK

  • Horizontal pipe runs must have a minimum fall of 1:200 (5mm per metre) to the soil stack,
  • If a vertical lift is required, it must be made before the horizontal run at the start of the pipe run,
  • We would recommend that a drain-off point is installed to allow the discharge pipework to be drained down before any service work
  • If the discharge pipework runs to a level considerably lower than the unit, the resultant syphoning effect can suck out the water seal in the unit. Fitting an air admittance valve (BBA approved) at the high point of the pipe run will overcome this problem,
  • The discharge pipework must be connected • to the soil stack using an appropriate strap on boss, Ensure all external pipework is adequately lagged to avoid the possibility of freezing.

N.B.: Any elbow on the discharge pipe of the unit will create friction loss (roughly 50 cm per elbow to be deducted from the vertical pumping spec.)
Always use smooth bends (OR 2 X 45 degree bends together) and not 90 degree elbows.

CONNECTION TO THE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY

The electrical installation should be carried by a qualified person. The unit should be connected to a fully earthed electrical supply.

COMMISSIONING THE UNIT

Once electrical and pipe connections have been made, flush the toilet once. The motor should run from 5 to 10 seconds to clear the waste (depending on the height of the pipe run). If it runs for more than 20 seconds, check that the pipework is clear, and that the discharge hose is not kinked. Flush the toilet checking that all seals, and connections are watertight. Check both the discharge pipework from the unit and the other sanitary appliances connections.

  • The electrical installation should be carried by a qualified person.
  • The unit should be connected to a fully earthed electrical supply.

USAGE AND WARNING

WARNING !!!

  • If away for a long periods (eg holidays) we recommend that you turn off the water supply to the WC served by the unit.
  • Toilet connected to this unit can be used like any normal toilet, and requires minimum maintenance. The unit will operate automatically as soon as the required level of water enters the case.
  • The motor thermal protector will operated once the motor is overheat, unplug the plug from the socket-outlet, then plug again, the appliance will work normal after waiting about 30-60minutes.

WARNING !!!
Only the disposal of toilet papers, faucal matter, and waste water will be under guarantee. Any damage due to foreign bodies such as cotton, condoms, sanitary towels, wet wipes, food, hair, metal, wood or plastic objects, will not be under guarantee. Solvents, acids and other chemicals can also cause damage to the unit, and will invalidate the guarantee.

  • DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY, BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY WORK ON THE UNIT.
  • No need of any particular maintenance.
  • This unit is fitted with an active carbon filter, and requires no external venting.
