Product Information

The SYSPEND VHDS-Motion Arm is a versatile mounting system designed for machine-top or wall-mount installation. It is available in two sizes: 26-inch and 36-inch, with load capacities ranging from 25 to 125 pounds (11 to 57 kilograms). The arm itself weighs 54 pounds (25 kilograms) for the 26-inch model and 60 pounds (27 kilograms) for the 36-inch model. The arm dimensions are as follows:

K in./mm: 26.00 (660mm) for the 26-inch model, 36.00 (914mm) for the 36-inch model
S in./mm: 3.00 (76mm) for the 26-inch model, 4.00 (102mm) for the 36-inch model
T in./mm: 10.00 (254mm) for the 26-inch model, 16.00 (406mm) for the 36-inch model

The SYSPEND VHDS-Motion Arm can be mounted using various options:

Wall-Mount Adapter (VHDSWALL): This adapter allows you to mount the arm on a wall. It weighs 10.0 pounds (4.54 kilograms).
Post-Mount Adapter (VHDSPOST): This adapter is used for mounting the arm to a tube. It weighs 7.0 pounds (3.18 kilograms).

For additional stability and cable protection, you can use the Stainless Steel Floorpost with Junction Box (Catalog Number FlOORPOStSS). This floorpost weighs 70 pounds (31.75 kilograms) and has dimensions of 74.00 inches (1880mm) in height. Handles (Catalog Number CCSSHDl) are available for mounting on enclosure sides, but they are not required to use the SYSPEND VHDS-Motion Arm.

Product Usage Instructions

To mount the SYSPEND VHDS-Motion Arm, follow these steps:

Choose the appropriate mounting option based on your installation requirements: wall-mount adapter (VHDSWALL) or post-mount adapter (VHDSPOST).
If using the wall-mount adapter, securely attach it to the wall using appropriate hardware.
If using the post-mount adapter, ensure that the tube is suitable for mounting and attach the adapter securely.
Place the arm onto the mounted adapter and ensure it is securely attached.
If additional stability is required, install the Stainless Steel Floorpost with Junction Box (FlOORPOStSS) by following the provided instructions.
If desired, mount handles (CCSSHDl) on enclosure sides using the included hardware and following enclosure machining guidelines.

APPLICATION

Heavy-duty, stainless steel vertical motion pendant arm provides corrosion resistance and suspends process and control equipment for easy cleaning. Operators in NEMA Type 4X environments can effortlessly lift, lower and reposition HMI enclosures using the pendant arm’s field-adjustable counterbalance.

Tension adjustment at front of the arm provides additional finetuning of lifting force
No locking enclosure handle required; enclosure stays in place when repositioned
Easily interfaces with Hoffman HMI enclosures using a 60-x-60- mm enclosure mounting pattern (enclosure must be ordered separately; not for use with CS480 enclosures)
1.25-in. internal cable pathway maintains Type 4, 4X and 12 enclosure rating and protects wires and cables
Gasketed mounting surfaces at both ends of arm maintain seal integrity
Enclosure and arm can be swiveled 330 degrees with swivel stops available in 30-degree increments
Standard models are available with machine-top mounting (wall mount and post-mount adapters sold separately)
Optional floorpost available

Order separately to install the SYSPEND VHDS-Motion Arm on a wall or vertical surface.

Heavy-wall 3.5-in. structural tube welded to a 12 x 12 x 3/8-in.-thick baseplate
Provides a “rough-in” point and pull box for power and network field wiring
Includes internal CAT5 coupler and finger-safe power terminals
Two conduit knock-outs can be opened to either 1/2 in. or 3/4 in.
Fully gasketed 16 gauge cover panel on junction box can be used for additional conduit attachment
Tough, molded ABS junction box is contoured to fit the post and is fluted into the post to protect cables
