Manufacturer’s tips:
Food entry into the device:
For maximum juice extraction performance, be sure to cut fruits and vegetables
into manageable sized pieces so they fit comfortably into the feeding chute.
Unlike other juicers which shred the food for juice extraction, the Gourmia
slow juicer doesn’t require push by force for food entry into the device.
Apply gentle use. of the pusher when foods block the passageway.
Product Features:
- Utilizes a squeezing mechanism, as opposed to traditional grinding processes.
- Operates with the capability of extracting soy milk, vegetable juice, and freshly squeezed fruit juice.
- Consists of maximized low speed technology which maintains the juice’s pure form in color, taste, and nutrient value. Food consistency guide:
When using multiple ingredients, we advise alternating between hard and soft foods. Refer to the list below for accurate consistency ratios during use.
Fibrous vegetables:
When juicing celery, beets or ginger with other ingredients, it is recommended
to do so toward the end of the juicing process. On rare occasions, if you
juice a very fibrous vegetable like celery or kale, the fibers may wrap
around the screw and jam the juicer during use. Proceed to unplug the device
and clean the designated area before resuming operation.
Pits and seeds:
You can juice whole fruits and vegetables that contain seeds such as apples,
oranges, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. However, the Gourmia slow juicer can’t
process large pits found in stone fruits such as peaches, plums, cherries,
apricots, etc. Remove pits before placing your food into the chute.
Skins and rind:
You can juice most fruits and vegetables with their skin or rind on.
However, some of the harder skins and rinds are bitter and may alter the
juice’s overall taste.
Leafy greens:
For best results, remove stems from leafy greens such as collards, kale and
chard before juicing. This will allow your juicer to process the greens much
more easily and result in a less bitter juice.
After use cleaning:
Once juicing is complete, pour 1-2 glasses of water down the chute into the
running juicer. This can help facilitate an easier cleaning process.
