Product Usage Instructions

Installation

  1. Mark the screw holes and mount the bracket on your wall with screws.
  2. (Optional) You can mount the device on flat surfaces with included double-sided tape.
  3. Attach the doorbell to the fixed mounting bracket.
  4. Tighten the security screw at the bottom of the bracket to prevent theft.
  5. All set! Press the doorbell button to run a test.

Device Connection

  1. Download the TuyaSmart application from the application store (AppStore, Play Store) or scan the provided QR code.
  2. Open the TuyaSmart application and follow the instructions to connect the device to your Wi-Fi network.
  3. When prompted, enter your Wi-Fi password.
  4. Using your phone’s camera, scan the QR code displayed on the device until you hear a beeping sound.
  5. The device will be successfully connected to your Wi-Fi network.

Factory Reset
To restore the device to its factory settings

  1. Press and hold the RESET button on the back of the device for 5-6 seconds.
  2. The device will reset and return to its original settings.

Cleaning
To clean the device

  1. Wipe off any dirt with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.
  2. Avoid using chemicals as they may damage the device.

Indoor Unit Overview

  • Tune button : Use to cycle through 36 different tunes.
  • Indicator LED : Indicates the status of the indoor unit.
  • Volume button : Use to adjust the volume of the doorbell tune.

Troubleshooting
If the device cannot connect to Wi-Fi, try the following

  1. Check if the wireless network is available.
  2. Ensure that the indicator LED is slowly flashing in red.

WARNINGS AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS!

DANGER OF SUFFOCATION!
Please keep the packaging of the device away from children, as it may lead to suffocation. The device can only be used by adults, the storage location must be chosen in such a way that children cannot accidentally access it. Children must not play with the device.
The device may only be used for its intended purpose! The device may only be used by persons who have read and understood this user manual and are able to operate the device accordingly! Persons with reduced mental, physical or sensory abilities may not use the device! Children must not use the device! The device is designed for residential use!
Do not use the device if it has previously been dropped or bumped against something and it is visibly damaged! Safety devices must be used as intended, their modification or elimination is strictly prohibited!

  1. Do not install the indoor unit in humid or wet environments, the indoor unit can only be used indoors in a dry place. Otherwise, there is a risk of a short circuit!
  2. The device may only be operated from an energy source that complies with the specification.
  3. Install the device so that it is not exposed to direct sunlight or heat sources!
  4. Do not cover the device with any material! Do not disassemble the device. It is forbidden to change the parameters of the device!
  5. The manufacturer and the distributor are not responsible for damages resulting from improper use and installation!

INSTALLATION
In order to obtain the best product performance and avoid unnecessary environmental disturbances, please pay attention to the following instruction during the installation process

  • Do not install the product near to heat sources such as outdoor units of air conditioners, kitchen exhausts, etc.
  • Make sure there are no reflections within 1,5 meters (5 feet) of the PIR sensor, otherwise it will interfere with the normal function.
  • Try to avoid to install the product on the side of busy road. Frequent pedestrians and vehicles will keep waking up the camera, resulting in frequent alarm messages and quick power consumption.
  • Do not install the product very far from the router, the product needs a good Wi-Fi signal to work properly.

EXTRA TOOLS YOU NEED TO INSTALL

STEP 1
Select the location where you need to install the camera, take the camera and your phone to the location, and use the „Installation Guide” in the application to diagnose the network and determine whether the Wi-Fi signal at the location is good. It is recommended to install the camera in a location with good Wi-Fi signal for smooth camera operation.

STEP 2
Use power drill. Secure the camera bracket to the wall, 1,2 m off the ground (4 feet) is recommended, snap the camera into the bracket and secure the camera with safety screws.

DEVICE CONNECTION
Download the TuyaSmart application by searching for the word TuyaSmart in the application store (AppStore, Play Store) or scan the QR code below.

To download the program, use your phone’s camera to read the QR code below.

REGISTRATION, LOGIN, PASSWORD SETTING

  1. Open the TuyaSmart app and click the “Sign Up” button to start the Account registration (If you don’t have a user account yet). In the user agreement and privacy policy dialog box, please read the privacy policy and agreement carefully, then tap (“Accept” / “Agree”) to accept and open the account registration page.
  2. Enter your phone number or e-mail address and tap on the „Get Verification Code” button to receive verification code. The country or region on the registration page is the same as that you set in the mobile phone. You can also manually change the country or region before registration.
  3. On the “Enter Verification Code” page, enter the code you received. On the “Set Password” page, set the password according to the instructions and click “Done” to finish.

LOG IN WITH YOUR ACCOUNT

  1. Open the TuyaSmart app. If you have a registered user account, press the “Log In” button to login. In the user agreement and privacy policy dialog box, please read the privacy policy and agreement carefully, then tap “Agree” to access the login page.
  2. Check that the displayed Country and Region are displayed correctly. You can also manually select the correct country or region.
  3. Enter your registered phone number or email address, enter the password and press the “Log In” button to log in.

PASSWORD RESET
If you forget your login password, you can reset it based on the following process

  1. On the “Log In” page, press the “Forgot password” button
    The country or region is displayed on the page

  2. The system will automatically set the country or region. If your user was registered with a phone number, the country or region must be the same as the one you set during registration.

  3. Enter your registered phone number or e-mail address and press the “Get verification code” button.

  4. On the “Enter verification code” page, enter the code you received.

  5. On the page that appears, enter the new password and press the “Done” button. The password setting was successful and you will be automatically logged in to your user account

  6. For security reasons, the app detects potential threats during login. If the app detect a root or jailbreaking risk, a security reminder will be displayed. After that, you can choose whether to exit the application or not. If you do not select anything, the application will exit automatically.

DEVICE FACTORY RESET
Press the RESET button on the back of the device for 5-6 seconds to restore the factory settings.

CLEANING
Wipe off any dirt with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Do not use chemicals!

ADD DEVICE

  2. Click “Next” to enter the Wi-Fi password.
  3. According to the instructions on the page, turn the QR code directly to the camera and keep a distance of 15-20 cm until you hear a beeping sound from the camera.
  4. When you hear the prompt tone, click the “Hear the prompt tone” button below to enter the page adding devices.

  6. The name of the camera can be changed. Click “Finish” on the image above to enter the device operation page.

ATTENTION

  1. This device works with a Lithium polymer battery, which provides 5-8 months of use after a full charge. You will receive a message within the application when the battery level is low. After the signal, please charge the device.
  2. During installation, please make sure that the device receives a Wi-Fi signal, especially if installed outdoors. If Wi-Fi is not available or the signal is weak, please use a Wi-Fi signal booster to strengthen the signal.
  3. This device is a low-power smart product that supports remote app wake-up, human body PIR detection wake-up, and doorbell wake-up.

The device hibernates automatically until the next activation. It works for 30 seconds after activation.

STEPS
Set your doorbell with Video Doorbell.

  1. Before the setup process, make sure that your video doorbell has connected to your phone, then plug your indoor unit into the mains connector.
  2. Press and hold the „Tune” button to cycle through 36 different tunes.
  3. Press and hold the Volume button for 5 seconds until the blue indicator turns on.
  4. Press the Call button
  5. Press the Call button again, and the bell will automatically play the tune you selected.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q: THE DEVICE CANNOT CONNECT TO WI-FI?
A:

  1. Please check if the wireless network is available?
  2. Make sure the indicator LED is slowly flashing in red.
  3. Make sure the password you entered is correct.
  4. If you previously tried 5GHz Wi-Fi, try connecting your device to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

Q: THE DEVICE IS ONLINE AND A “TRIGGER” EVENT OCCURS, BUT THE MOBILE PHONE CANNOT RECEIVE THE INSTANT MESSAGE.
A: Can the mobile app run in the background? Also, make sure you have enabled notifications for the app. Turn off “battery optimization” and turn off the app close function when the phone is in standby mode (The optimization method of the mobile phone manufacturer is not consistent. Please follow the settings of the current mobile phone manufacturer)
