Thank you for choosing to purchase this quality product. To minimise the risk of injury, we ask you to always take some basic safety precautions when using this product. Please read this operating manual carefully and make sure that you understand it. Keep these operation instructions in a safe place.
Description
This 234-piece kit features a low weight, perfect handling, and versatile use. The plastic box not only houses the shaft, but also other accessories such as various grinding wheels, abrasive sleeves, marking pins, drills, polishing attachments, all of them being indispensable for model construction, hobby, or domestic use and well-suited for wood, metal, plastics, and stone.
Safety instructions
ATTENTION:
- The use of this device is only allowed with a fault current protection switch with a triggering nominal current up to 30 mA (according to VDE 0100 Article 702 and 738).
- The device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with impaired or limited phys-ical, sensory, and mental abilities or lack of experience and/or real knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or follow the instructions made by this person on how to correctly use the device.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
- Perform a visual inspection of the device before every use. Do not use the device if the safety appliances are damaged or worn out. Never override safety regulations.
- Only use the device accordingly to the intended purpose stated in this manual.
- You are responsible for the safety of the working zone.
- If the cable or plug is damaged due to external influences, the cable must not be repaired, but must be replaced with a new one.
- The voltage of 230 V AC indicated on the nameplate of the device must match the existent mains voltage.
- Never lift, carry, or fix the device by using the power cable.
- Make sure that the electric plug connections are protected from flood and humidity.
- Before working on the device (maintaining, repairing, cleaning it), pull out the plug.
- Avoid exposing the device to rain or direct jets of water or to operate it in a wet zone.
- The user is responsible for complying with local safety and mounting regulations. If you have any question, contact an expert.
- In case of device failure, repairs can only be carried out by an electrician.
- Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, stoves, etc. during work.
- The rotation of the device might generate a light static electricity that could provoke an electric shock comparable to the one produced when getting off a car.
- Keep your working area clean and well illuminated.
- Do not apply excessive pressure onto the workpiece with the device, as the grinder already removes material from the surface when it is in simple contact with the piece.
- Never pull out the plug by pulling the cable.
- Keep the cable away from sharp edges or oil.
- Use clamping devices or a vice to fix the workpiece.
- Do not stoop down too far, firmly hold the device during work, and make sure to always keep your balance. During work, ensure a safe footing and do not allow any diversion during work.
- Use the appropriate tool for the proper application. A small grinder cannot be used for jobs that you would need a large tool for. Only use this tool for jobs that is has been designed for.
- Keep the device and your hands free from oil and dirt to ensure safe work.
- Make sure that nobody is close to your work zone when you are working with the device.
- Always wear suitable work clothing. Large clothes, jewellery, or long hair might get caught by parts of the device.
- For your own safety, it is recommended to wear protective glasses and gloves. With a great amount of dust generated during work, you should wear a dust mask, too.
- Always put the switch to the off position before connecting the device to the mains.
- If using the device outdoors, make sure to only use extension cords suitable for outdoor use.
- The device switched on must never be covered to prevent heat from accumulating.
- Switch off the device and pull out the plug when the device is not in use.
- Should the device be damaged, contact a specialised workshop. Do not try to repair the device yourself if you are not qualified to do so.
- The device may only be used by persons knowing the device and having read the manual.
- Do not use the device when being tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medicine.
- Do not work with the device near easily flammable matter, gases, or explosive atmospheres. The motor of the grinder might generate sparks that could provoke an explosion.
Commissioning
- Connect the desired accessory before plugging the plug in. Pull the power plug before changing the accessory.
- Fix the workpiece with a vice or a similar tool before beginning the work.
- The rotation speed control on the rear side of the grinder must not be used during operation. Only change the rotation speed with the grinder being switched off.
- Use a low speed for applications as polishing, a high speed for drilling or cutting.
Changing the accessory
- Always make sure that the grinder is plugged off when changing the accessory.
- Press down the locking knob on the front side of the grinder and untighten the tongs by turning them anti-clockwise.
- Place the clamping nut over the tongs, then place the desired accessory.
- Re-tighten the clamping nut. To do so, do not use pliers, as these could damage the grinder.
Notes
- Do not use the device for more than 10 min without interruption. Wait for the grinder to cool down before re-using it.
- Regularly lubricate the shaft of the device to ensure regular operation.
- Do not apply excessive pressure onto the grinder during operation. Excessive pressure might lead to inaccuracies.
- To prevent the device from slipping off when drilling metal, you should use a punch to prepare the drilling point.
- Adapt the speed to the individual application.

Regulations for waste disposal
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive,
2012/19/EU) of the EU was implemented in the German law related to electrical
and electronic equipment and appliances.
All WilTec electric devices that fall under the WEEE directive are labelled
with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled rubbish bin. This symbol indicates
that this electric device must not be disposed of with the domestic waste.
WilTec Technik GmbH is registered with the German registration authority EAR
(Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register) under the WEEE-registration number
DE45283704.
Disposal of used electrical and electronic devices (in-tended for use in the
countries of the European Union and other European countries with a separate
waste collection system for these devices).
The symbol on the packaging or the product itself indi-cates that this product
must not be treated as normal domestic waste but must be disposed of at a
recycling collection station for electrical and electronic waste. By disposing
of this product correctly, you contribute to the protection of the environment
and the health of your fellow people. Inappropriate disposal threatens the en-
vironment and health. Material recycling helps to reduce the consumption of
raw materials.Additional information about the recycling of this product can
be provided by your local commune, the municipal waste disposal facilities, or
the store where you purchased the product.
