PEKTRON AQ0017 Key Fob
FCC Statement:
- This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference, and
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
- This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. End users must follow the specific operating instructions for satisfying RF exposure compliance. This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
- Changes and/or modifications made to this equipment not expressly approved by Lordstown Motors Corporation may void the user’s authority and/or FCC authorization to operate this equipment.
- This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules.
- These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Maintenance:
Clean the key fob using a soft dry cloth. Avoid excessive heat and/or cold exposure as it can lead to permanent damage.
Operation Instructions:
The key fob is used to provide user authentication to its respective vehicle. The key fob performs the following functions as shown below:
Button One Functions:
- Lock Vehicle (One Press): Press once to lock all doors of the vehicle.
- Remote Start (Two Presses): Press once and then hold the second press to remote start the vehicle.
Button Two Functions:
- Unlock Driver Door Only (One Press): Press once to unlock only the driver door.
- Unlock All Doors (Two Presses): Press twice to unlock all doors of the vehicle.
Button Three Functions:
- Vehicle Locator (One Press): Press once to sound the vehicle horn to help locate the vehicle.
- Panic Alarm (One Press): Press and hold to sound the panic alarm in emergency situations.
Passive Start:
To transition the vehicle to accessory or system ready power modes, the vehicle’s respective key fob must be present in the cabin. When user is ready to transition to the above two power modes and key fob is in the cabin of the vehicle:
- Accessory Power Mode: Press the stop/start button.
- System Ready Power Mode: Press the stop/start button while pressing down on the brake pedal.
Battery Installation Instructions:
When the key fob battery needs replacement, follow the below steps:
- On the backside of the key fob, use a large flat head screwdriver to open the battery cover.
- Place flat head in ident. Apply downward pressure and turn counterclockwise.
- Remove battery from the battery cover by turning it upside down.
- Insert new Panasonic CR2354 battery into battery cover with the positive side facing down
- Place battery cover on back side of key fob and use a flat head to turn clockwise to secure the battery cover back into place.
