Product Usage Instructions

- For basic corner installation, adjust framing dimensions for interior chase sheathing, such as sheetrock.
- For venting scenarios and additional information, refer to the installation manual.
- If using heat management, please refer to the fireplace installation manual for framing guidelines and reduced mantel clearances.
- Ensure that the vent framing hole is not packed with insulation or other material.
- Consult the installation and owner’s manual for information on venting, TV clearances, finishing requirements, and fronts.
- For combustible mantel projections, refer to the provided measurement chart and adjust accordingly.
- For non-combustible mantel projections, refer to the provided measurement chart and adjust accordingly.
- Follow the exterior chase minimum height requirements for proper wall penetration.
- If top or rear venting is used, the center of the vent framing hole should be one inch above the center of the horizontal vent pipe.
- Note that if the overhang is less than 2 inches, the clearance from the top of the termination cap to the bottom of the overhang maybe 0 inches.

EXTERIOR CHASE MINIMUM HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS
- NOTE: If overhang (A) is less than 2 inches, clearance from the top of the termination cap to the bottom of overhang (B) may be 0 inches.
- A – Measured from the back of the vent cap to the end of overhang
- B – Measured from the bottom of the overhang to the top of the termination cap
- Vinyl Siding Shield (TRAP-VSS) Information
- TRAP-VSS is required if overhang (A) is greater than 3 inches but less than 5 inches and B dimension is less than 18 inches.
- TRAP-VSS is recommended if either of the below is true:
- Overhang (A) is less than 5 inches (to combat water infiltration)
- A vinyl overhang is present
WALL PENETRATION
DO NOT PACK VENT FRAMING HOLES WITH INSULATION OR OTHER MATERIAL.
Shows center of vent framing hole for top or rear venting. The center of the hole is one (1) in. (25 mm) above the center of the horizontal vent pipe.
