Product Usage Instruction

Installation of the IDGA on a BMG Extruder

  1. Remove the BMG extruder from your printer and unpack the new IDGA kit.
  2. Pull out the screws from the extruder body.
  3. Pull apart the front body from the rear.
  4. Pull out the existing shaft and primary gear.
  5. Take out the old ball bearings from the rear and front body.
  6. Place the new ball bearing into the rear part of the body.
  7. Place the other ball bearing on top of the new IDGA shaft.
  8. Insert the IDGA shaft into the front body.
  9. Press firmly to secure the ball bearing into its socket.
  10. Reassemble the extruder.
  11. Reinstall the BMG extruder in your printer.

Maintenance Instructions
To keep your IDGA Retro-fit Set in optimal condition, perform the following maintenance operations every 6 months or sooner if you have a higher than 15h per week average usage

  1. With a toothbrush and alcohol, clean the IDGA & secondary drive gear, needle bearings, and secondary shaft.
  2. With a fine brush and lubricant, apply a moderate amount of lubricant to the spur gear teeth of the drive gears, ensuring that excess lubricant does not spill over and cause the housing to become greasy. Also, lubricate the needle bearings.
  3. With compressed air, blow the housing plastic parts to remove dust and dirt particles.

  1. Remove the BMG extruder from your printer and unpack the new IDGA kit.
  2. Pull out the screws from the extruder body.

  10. Reassemble the extruder.
  11. Reinstall the BMG extruder in your printer.

IT’S DONE! TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT
Every 6 months, or sooner if you have a higher than 15h per week average usage, perform the following maintenance operations

  1. With a tooth brush and alcohol
    • Clean the IDGA & secondary drive gear
    • Clean the needle bearings
    • Clean the secondary shaft
  2. With a fine brush and lubricant
    • Apply a moderate amount of lubricant to the spur gear teeth of the drive gears, ensuring that excess lubricant does not spill over and cause the housing to become greasy
    • Lubricate the needle bearings
  3. With compressed air
    • Blow the housing plastic parts to remove dust & dirt particles
