Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product. To minimise the risk of injury
we urge that our clients take some basic safety precautions when using this
device. Please read the operation instructions carefully and make sure you
have understood its content.
Keep these operation instructions safe.
Product description
This product is a powerful, electrically operated mixer for stirring and mixing building materials and chemical substances. It can be used with the supplied single stir bar, but also together with other mixing tools. Due to the two-stage speed setting, this stirring unit can be used to stir a variety of different materials and is therefore suitable, for example, for mixing difficult-to-mix materials such as highly compacted mortar.
Safety precautions
Warning: Read these operating instructions and the safety instructions
contained therein and make sure that you have understood everything. Failure
to follow the instructions in this document could result in damage to the
device and its surroundings, as well as serious injury or even death. The term
“power tool” in the warning notices refers to a tool operated on the mains
(corded) or a battery-operated (cordless) tool.
Keep the instructions in a safe and dry place so that you can refer to them at
any time.
General safety precautions
| Read the instructions for use and familiarise yourself with the device
before you start working.
---|---
| Always wear respiratory protection when working with chemicals, as toxic
fumes are generated or toxic particles can be blown up.
| Always wear protective goggles when using this tool to avoid injury from
particles falling off or
being blown up.
| Always wear hearing protection when using this tool.
Work area safety
-
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Untidy and poorly lit work areas increase the risk of accidents.
-
Never operate electrical devices in an explosive environment, e.g., near flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Electrical devices can cause sparks that can ignite these materials.
-
Keep bystanders and children away from the work area while you are using the electrical device.
Distractions can cause you to lose control of the device. -
Always switch off the power tool when this is not in use, making sure that the device has been properly disconnected from the power supply during longer breaks and when finishing work.
-
Do not switch the tool on before the mixer is immersed deep enough in the substance to be mixed and do not remove it before it has been switched off. A premature switch-on as well as a premature removal can lead to splashing of the mixture and thus, depending on the substance, to damage to the work area and serious injuries.
Electric safety
- Before connecting the device, make sure that the voltage of the power source corresponds to the voltage specified on the type plate. Do not make any changes to the plug and do not use adapters with earthed power tools.
- Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces, e.g., pipes, heaters, stoves, or refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
- Never expose electric devices to rain, moisture, or environments with very high humidity. The penetration of water into an electrical device significantly increases the risk of electric shock.
- Handle the power cord carefully. Never carry or lift devices by the power cord and never pull the power plug out of the socket with the help of the cable. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, sharp objects, or moving parts. Replace damaged power cords immediately as they increase the risk of electric shock.
- If you want to operate an electrical device outdoors, always use an extension cable suitable for outdoor areas. Outdoor extension cords reduce the risk of electric shock.
- If the operation of a power tool in a location with very high humidity is unavoidable, it is essential to use an FI circuit breaker to reduce the risk of electric shock. Wearing rubber gloves for electricians and shoes with rubber soles further reduces the risk of accidents.
Personal safety
-
Stay vigilant and pay full attention to what you are doing while using a power tool. Do not use the device when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication. A moment of inattention while using a power tool can result in serious injury.
-
Always wear appropriate clothing when using a power tool. Avoid wearing loose clothing or jewellery, and tie long hair securely to prevent them from becoming entangled in moving parts.
Also keep all handles of the tool dry, clean, and free from oil and lubricants. -
Always wear appropriate safety equipment when using a power tool. Always wear a dust mask, hearing protection and protective goggles when working with the device. Non-slip shoes, safety gloves and a safety helmet must be worn under appropriate working conditions and reduce the risk of accidents.
-
Avoid unintentional start-up. Always make sure the device is turned off when connecting. Do not carry electrical devices with your finger on the switch, and do not connect devices switched on to the mains.
-
Remove all adjusting wrenches and other wrenches before switching on the tool. An adjustment wrench or another wrench on a moving part can cause serious injury.
-
Do not stoop down too much and always make sure that you are able to maintain your balance and a firm and secure stance. Balance and a secure stance allow better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
-
If devices for connecting de-dusting and extraction systems are provided, make sure that these have been connected before starting work and that they are working properly. The use of such devices can reduce the hazards caused by dust.
-
Do not mix any substances with a flash point below 21 ℃, as the mixing process could otherwise ignite them.
Safety while using and maintaining
-
The power tool must not be used forcibly. Always use the right tool for the job at hand. Tools and equipment are safer and more reliable when used for the work for which they are intended.
-
Do not use a device whose switch is defective and cannot be switched on or off properly. Any device that cannot be controlled by the switch is dangerous and must be repaired immediately.
-
Pull the power plug before changing settings, accessories, performing maintenance work, or preparing the device for storage. This safety precaution reduces the risk of unintentional switching on.
-
Always store unused power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow them to be used by people who are not familiar with them. Devices and tools are dangerous when used by inexperienced people.
-
Always maintain equipment and tools very carefully. Always keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
Properly maintained tools with sharp edges are less prone to deformation and easier to control.
Any change or modification represents incorrect use, which increases the risk of accidents considerably. -
Before each use, check the power tool for defective or worn parts, and pay particular attention to possible deformations and misalignments of moving parts. If the device is damaged, have it repaired immediately by qualified personnel. Many accidents occur due to poorly maintained equipment and tools. Creating a maintenance schedule can help extend the life of a power tool.
-
Always use the power tool, accessories, attachments, etc. in accordance with these instructions and in the manner intended for the respective power tool type, considering the working conditions and the work to be performed. Using the power tool for work for which the device is not intended increases the risk of accidents considerably.
-
Always wear hearing protection when using this power tool to prevent possible hearing loss.
-
Only hold the power tool by the insulated gripping surfaces during use when performing work in which the power tool may come into contact with hidden wiring or its own power cord. Accessories that come into contact with a live linecan also make exposed metal parts of the power tool live, which can lead to an electric shock.
Safety while repairing and cleaning
- Repair work may only be carried out by qualified personnel. A repair by unqualified persons increases the risk of accidents, because internal wires, for example, can be incorrectly laid or jammed or return springs of the protective device can be improperly installed.
- Be careful when using cleaning agents and solvents as gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, ammonia, and chlorinated or ammonia-containing household cleaners can severely damage the plastic parts of the tool.

Maintenance
- Proper maintenance of the machine can extend its service life.
- The handle switch must always function properly and be well maintained.
- Avoid mechanical tension in the machine, as this will inevitably damage it.
- The hexagon socket must always be provided with a protective cover.
- The ventilation of the motor housing must not be covered while the machine is in operation; there must be no inflammable materials in the machine.
- The ventilation must be cleaned regularly.
- Only identical original parts may be used on and in this machine.
- Clean the mixer attachment after each use and before a long period of use. It is recommended that only running water or quartz sand be used for cleaning.
- The carbon brush must be checked and serviced after 60 hours of operation. Change the brush in good time when you notice that it is worn out:
a) First disconnect the device from the power supply, remove the motor housing (see Fig. 1).
b) Pull out the plate and replace the carbon brush (see Fig. 2).
