Note!
The technique required for extraction of the injectors depends of the system
of your vehicle. If possible, always use an external adaptor first. If the
injector nozzle cannot be extracted even with sufficient effort, use an
internal adaptor instead. Before working on the fuel system, make sure that it
is not under pressure. Refer to the producer’s user’s manual to know how to
depressurise the system. Disconnect the cables and cable connections of the
injector nozzles according to the producer’s instructions. Remove all carbon
deposits found around the injectors. Remove the electrical unit from the
injector.
Use
Using an external adaptor
- Remove the electrical unit (see A).
- Apply the male-threaded adaptor to the top of the injector (see B).
- Connect the slide hammer to the male-threaded adaptor (see C).
- The injector can be removed with sufficient effort applied to the slide hammer.
- After extracting the injector, it is advisable to only use a new or checked-up injector.
- Obey the producer’s installation and safety instructions.

- Screw the slide hammer into the adaptor.
- The injector can be removed with sufficient effort applied to the slide hammer (see F).
