Getting Started

Loading Battery

1. Push the OPEN switch on the camcorder bottom to open the battery compartment slot
2. Insert the lithium battery in the direction of matching positive and negative poles
3. Press the battery compartment slot to close it

Note:
Slide the battery lock with your fingernail and it will eject automatically.

Inserting SD Card

1. Push the OPEN switch on the camcorder bottom to open the battery compartment slot.
2. Insert the memory card according to the direction shown until it clicks.
3. Press the battery compartment slot to close it.

Notes:

• Press the memory card with your fingernail and it will eject automatically.
• Memory card rating must be Class 10 or faster. This camcorder supports up to 256
• Do not remove the SD card during recording. It may cause data loss or device damage.

Charging Battery

1. Open the USB port cover on the device.
2. Connect the camcorder to the charging adapter package not included) with a USB cable to charge the battery
3. The CHG indicator light will be red during charging and the indicator light will be turned off when fully charged.

Notes:

• Charging the battery fully before the first use
• Use the 5V/2A adapt e r to charge.
• The camcorder supports recording while charging

Power On /Off

1. Power On: Open the LCD monitor and the camcorder will automatically turn on. If the monitor has been opened, press and hold the POWER button to turn on the device
2. Power Off: Close the LCD monitor or press the POWER button to turn off the device

Formatting Memory Card

To ensure the stable operation of the memory card, please format
it according to the
following steps when the first use or changing it

1. Power on the camera
2. Press MODE button
3. Touch Setup icon
4. Push the W/T button to select Format
5. Press the PHOTO button to confirm
6. Touch the Yes icon to complete the formatting

Basic Setting

Press the MODE button → Touch the Setup icon → Enter S setup interface

Language

Note:
The date and time will automatically update when the camcorder is connected to the smartphone.

Basic Operation

Recording Video

1. Video mode

Note:
The camcorder will automatically stop recording when the recording duration reaches 15 minutes

1. Power on the camcorder → Press the MODE button → Touch the Video icon on the screen
   to enter Video Mode

2. Press the MENU button to set the optional functions. Please refer to the section of Setting
   Video

3. Push the W/T button to adjust zoom.

4. Press the REC button to start recording

5. Press the PHOTO button to pause c continue recording.

6. Press the REC button to stop recording

Setting Video

1. In the video mode, press the MENU button to enter the video setting interface.
2. Push the W/T button to select the option.
3. Press the PHOTO button to confirm m
4. Touch the icon to back to the previous menu.

Note:
When using the Slomo function, the video resolution can only be set to HDP120/FHD60 and the zoom can not be adjusted.

Taking Photo

Setting Photo

1. In the photo mode, press the MENU button to enter the photo setting interface.
2. Push the W/T button to select the option.
3. Press the PHOTO button to confirm.
4. Touch the icon to back to the previous menu interface

Note:
BurstMode is enabled only when the photo resolution is set to 10M or less.

Playback Mode

1. Press the MODE button → Touch the Playback icon on the screen.
2. Touch the Video icon or Photo icon to enter the file preview interface
3. When browsing the video, touch to play, press the PHOTO button to pause or continue playing.
4. Touch the MENU icon to enter the delete or protect function interface → Push the W/T button to select Press the PHOTO button to enter the next menu → T ouch YES or NO icon to end the selection.

• Touch the icon/push the W/T button to view the previous or the next file.

Slide Show Mode

1. Press the MODE button → Touch the Slide Show icon on the screen.
2. Press the PHOTO button to start playing.
3. Press the MENU button to select the interval time for each picture, 3s 5s 10s options are available.

Remote Control

1. Open the battery compartment cover of the remote controller.

2. Insert two 1.5v AAA batteries Package not included).

3. Close the battery compartment cover.

4. The distance of the remote control is approximately 10m.

5. Power Button: Power off

Note:
When the camera is connected to the app, the remote controller can only switch it off and adjust the focus.

Downloading the APP
Using the browser
of the smartphone to scan the QR code or search for “VD Cam(VideoDimension Camera)” on the App Store For Android users, search for “VD Cam” on Google Play.

Connecting Wi-Fi

1. Power on the device.
2. Press the MODE button → Touch the Wi-Fi icon on the screen.
3. Open Wi-Fi on your smartphone, and then search for the Wi-Fi name UHD K 5 SSID number, enter the default password: 12345678
4. Open the app, touch the connect camera icon
5. After connecting, you can set the parameters, start and stop recording, take photos, and view and download the footage s and photos via your smartphone.

Note

• Do not change the Wi-Fi name and password, it may affect the abnormal access of the memory card.
• The maximum connection distance is approximately 10 meters.
• After the camcorder is connected to your smartphone, it can only be controlled through the app or the remote controller to record or take photos, not the screen

Connecting to Computer & HD TV

Connecting to Computer

The camcorder can be used as an MSDC or PC camera

1. Power on the device.
2. Connect the camcorder to a computer with the USB cable.
3. MSDC & PC Camera options display on the camcorder screen, push W T button to select then press the PHOTO button to confirm.

Connecting to HD TV

1. Power on the device.
2. Connect the HD cable to the camcorder HD Out port.
3. Connect the other end of the cable to a High Definition TV
4. Set the input source of your TV to HDMI, then the preview screen will display on the TV

Precautions and Maintenance

Precautions

1. Do not drop, impact or puncture the camera.
2. Do not expose the camera to high/low temperatures, excessive dust, humidity, or strong vibration, otherwise, the product may be damaged.
3. Do not use corrosive chemicals or solvents to clean the product.
4. Keep children away from the product, the accessories, and packaging materials, it may cause suffocation.
5. Do not put the product in a fire, otherwise, it may cause an explosion.

Maintenance

1. If you do not use the camera for a long time, take out the camera battery and place it in a dust-free, dry environment with a temperature no higher than 30
2. Please fully discharge the battery at least once every 3 months after it has been fully charged.
3. If there is dust or dirt on the lens or screen, gently wipe it with a s oft lens cleaning cloth.
