Screw To service or replace a LED module:

  1. Remove the top cover by removing the metric M5 Phillips Screw on the center cover To gain access to the alley or corner modules the aluminum end cap must be removed. To gain access to the end cap, the center top cover must be first removed.
  2. Each module is supported by 2 metric M3 x7 Phillips Screw.
  3.  To remove a module, unfasten both screws from the back of the module ( as shown in Figure B).
  4. Slide out the 2 plastic end caps on each side of the module ( as shown in Figure B).
  5.  Disconnect the male connector from the wire assembly extruding from the controller.
  6. Connect the male connector of the replacement module to the same port on the controller.
  7.  Place the module in the frame and fasten both screws from step 3 to the back of the module.
  8.  Slide the plastic clips back into the frame on each side of the module.
  9.  Fasten the top cover with the hardware removed during Step 1.

Feniex L-22109 Avatar Exterior Light Bar - LED Module Adjusting Height
Depending on the height of the vehicle, the feet of the bar will need to be adjusted for the required height and angle of the vehicle. To adjust the height:

  1. Determine the location for the vehicle for the light bar and check that no equipment will be damaged when drilling holes in the vechile to mount the light bar.
  2. Unfasten the hex bolt located on the side of the feet (as shown above) to adjust the height of the bar. Most sedans require the feet at the maximum height, while flat surface vehicles, such as SUVS require more adjustment to meet the required height.
  3. Once the required height is met, fasten the hex bolt to lock the height on the feet in position.
  4. A rubber grommet is provided to function as a cushioning barrier between the roof and the metal bracket.

bracket Installing the Vehicle Specific Hook Bracket

  1. Remove the 3” hex bolt which is pre-inserted in the light bar feet.
  2. Using the hook bracket drill and secure the bracket to the vehicle using the two pilot holes on the bottom of the bracket.
  3. Ensure that the vehicle’s door will close without any interference.
  4. Tighten the vehicle specific bracket by reattaching the hex bolt to secure the hook bracket to the light bar feet.
  5. Secure and tighten the bracket on each side until the bar is snugly mounted.
  6. Once secure, drill a one inch hole to route the harness assembly through the vehicle and then seal the hole with a silicone adhesive.

Electrical Installation

Power Cable Wiring:

  1. Install a 40Amp Fuse (customer supplied) to the end of the Red, 8 AWG wire of the light bar power wire harness assembly. Do not use a circuit breaker or fusible link. Do not insert the fuse until the opposite end of the fuse holder is connected to the vehicle battery.
  2.  Connect the opposite end of the fuse to the 12V + terminal of the battery. Do not use more than 1 foot of wire between the fuse and the battery terminal to ensure wire protection.
  3.  Connect the Black, 8 AWG wire to the factory chassis ground.

Function Cable Wiring:

  1. Route the Function Cable wire to the control equipment.
  2.  Wire function cables to switches, depending on functions to be implemented in vehicle.

Warning: All Customer supplied wires connecting to 12V + or 12V- must be sized to supply at least 100% of the maximum current and properly fused at the power source with the correctly rated fuse.
Avoid routing wires in the deployment area of the vehicle air bag or any other potentially hazardous locations.
