FIRST TEAM Scorpion Portable Pickleball Instruction Manual

BILL OF MATERIALS

• (2) Portable Base
• (1) Net
• (2) Base Pad
• (2) Base Extension Pad

Unpack shipment and report any shortages to First Team immediately, 1-800-649-3688

1. CAREFULLY remove each base unit from its palle t. BASE UNIT IS VERY HEAVY! KEEP HANDS AND FEET CLEAR!

2. The base units are designed so the wheels engage the floor when the base is tipped backward. The wheels disengage when the base unit is returned to its normal upright playing position resting on the foot pads so it will not move. Tip the units into rolling position and place each unit so its upright net post is 22’ apart from the opposing post. See Figure A.
   

3. Attach Net – The net is manufactured with pockets at each end for the upright post. The pocket has a Velcro closure that allows you to wrap around the upright post and secure with the Velcro flap. Secure the net to one upright post first, then secure the opposite end in the same way. NOTE: You may find it easiest to secure the Velcro at the top and bottom of the post first, then work your way toward the middle overlapping the Velcro.

4. Once the net is properly secured to both posts, position bot Post Pockets so the top of the net is approximately ½” below the top of the post. This should be the proper 36” height for the net at the post ends.

5. Then, tension the top of the net at both ends using the Velcro Net Tensioning Straps as a shown below in STEP 1 & STEP 2 .
   NOTE: Tension the net until the top of the center measures 34” above the playing surface as shown in Figure A.

6. Attach safety padding – Clean ballast box to remove any dust or dirt. Then, peel the self-adhesive strip on the inside o f the Base Pad and secure it in place onto the ballast box. (See Figure A for pad orientation). Follow the same procedure to install the Base Extension Pad . Repeat for second base unit.
   NOTE: Bases may be rolled without removing safety padding.

7. Your SCORPION portable pickle ball set is ready for play!
   

TRANSPORT & STORAGE

1. Loosen the Velcro Net Tensioning Strap at both ends of the net.
2. Peel & open the Velcro flap closure on the Post Pocket at both ends of the net and remove the net from both portable base units. Fold net for storage.
3. Lift up on the Portable Base Extension until the wheels engage the playing surface.
4. Push or pull the Portable Base unit to the desired Storage or Playing position.
5. Repeat for second Portable Base unit.
