Controls on Remote Control

  1. Power Button: Press the button to turn the power on/off.
  2. Source Button: Press to select the audio source.
  3. -/J /Enter Button: Switch between Play and Pause modes for CD or MD and Tape. In Audio Processor Mode, press this button to adjust the MODE called by pressing the A.PROC button.
  4. ANGLE 89 Buttons: Adjust the angle of the movable display.
  5. Band/Program Button: In Radio mode, press the BAND button to switch between radio presets. In Changer mode, press the BAND button to switch between changers when a Multi Changer Switching device is connected. In Tape mode, press the PROG button to change between the A and B side of the tape.
  6. Volume Adjustment Buttons: Press the L button to increase the volume level and the K button to decrease the volume level.
  7. 8 Button: In Radio mode, select stations programmed into the radio’s presets in ascending order. In CD Changer mode, use the DISC Select (UP) Button to select a disc. In Tape mode, enter the Program Sensor Up mode. In Audio Processor Mode, adjust the MODE called by pressing the A.PROC button.
  8. g Button: In Radio mode, use the SEEK (DN) Button to go back to the beginning of the current track. In CD/CD Changer mode, press the button to go back to the beginning of the current track. In Tape mode, use the REW Button. In Audio Processor Mode, adjust the MODE called by pressing the A.PROC button.
  9. f Button: In Radio mode, use the SEEK (UP) Button to advance to the beginning of the next track. In CD/CD Changer mode, press the button to advance to the beginning of the next track. In Tape mode, use the FF Button. In Audio Processor Mode, adjust the MODE called by pressing the A.PROC button.
  10. ! 9 Button: In Radio mode, select stations programmed into the radio’s presets in descending order.
  11. Monitor Button: Raise or lower the monitor (applicable for head units with a monitor display).
  12. Audio Processor Button: Call the external audio processor mode. Refer to the Owner’s Manual of the external audio processor for its operation.

Product Usage Instructions

Handling Precautions

  • Do not drop or apply shock to the unit as it may cause permanent damage.
  • Avoid exposing the unit to water, moisture, direct sunlight, excessive heat, and excessive dust.
  • Do not use scouring pads, steel wool, abrasive powders, or harsh chemical agents for cleaning. Instead, use a soft, lint-free cloth or cotton swab slightly dampened with a mild solution of detergent and water.
  • Ensure that the unit does not distract you from driving safely while operating it.

Battery Replacement

The RUE-4187 Remote Control Unit requires two AAA-sized dry batteries or equivalent for operation. To replace the batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two AAA-sized dry batteries or equivalent, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Controls on Remote Control

  1. Power Button
    Press the button to turn the power on/off.

  2. Source Button
    Press to select the audio source.

  3.  Enter Button Press the button to switch between the Play and Pause modes for CD or MD and Tape. Audio Processor Mode: Enter button

  4. ANGLE  Buttons Press the button to adjust the angle of the movable display.

  5. Band/Program ButtonPress this button to adjust the MODE that is called by pressing the A.PROC button.Radio mode: BAND Button Changer mode: BAND Button Switches changers (when a Multi-Changer Switching device is connected). TAPE mode: PROG Button Press the button to change between the A and B side of the tape.

  6.  Volume Adjustment Buttons To increase the volume level: Press the L button To decrease the volume level: Press the K button

  7.  Button  Radio mode: Pressing the button will select, in ascending order, stations programed into the radio’s presets as shown below. CD Changer mode: DISC Select (UP) Button Press the button to select a disc in ascending order. Tape mode: Pressing this button enters the Program Sensor Up mode.This allows for music selection towards the end of the tape. Audio Processor Mode: Press this button to adjust the MODE that is called by pressing the A.PROC button.

  8.  Button;   Radio mode: SEEK (DN) Button CD/CD changer mode: Press the button to go back to the beginning of the current track. Tape mode: REW Button Audio Processor Mode: Press this button to adjust the MODE that is called by pressing the A.PROC button.

  9. f Button Radio mode: SEEK (UP) Button CD/CD changer mode: Press the button to advance to the beginning of the next track. Tape mode: FF Button Audio Processor Mode: Press this button to adjust the MODE that is called by pressing the A.PROC button.

  10. Button; Radio mode: Pressing the button will select, in descending order, stations programed into the radio’s presets as shown below. CD Changer mode: DISC Select (DN) Button Press the button to select a disc in descending order. Tape mode: Pressing this button enters the Program Sensor Down mode.This allows for music selection towards the beginning of the tape. Audio Processor Mode: Press this button to adjust the MODE that is called by pressing the A.PROC button.

  11. Mute Button

    • Press the button to lower the volume by 20 dB instantly. Press the button again to cancel.
    • Press the button for at least 2 seconds to raise the monitor. Press the button again to lower the monitor.(Head unit with Monitor Display,
  12.  Audio Processor Button
    Press the button to call the external audio processor mode.∗

For the operation of external audio processor, refer to the Owner’s Manual of the external audio processor you purchased.
This button is used in conjunction with an optional Ai-NET processor.
