JEGS 106-0549 Direct-Fit Exhaust Kit

Product Information

The product is an exhaust system designed for vehicles. It consists of several components that need to be attached to the existing isolator and exhaust system of the vehicle. The exhaust system helps in the efficient removal of exhaust gases from the engine.

Installation Instructions:

  • STEP 1: Carefully read all instructions before installation. Disconnect the vehicle’s battery before removing the OEM exhaust system to prevent electrical accidents and reset the computer if applicable to the vehicle. Remove only the parts of the existing exhaust system that will be replaced. Clean the existing flange with a wire brush to ensure proper sealing.
  • STEP 2: Attach Part No. 2 to the existing isolator and exhaust using Part No. 1 (nuts not included).
  • STEP 3: Attach Part No. 4 to the existing isolator and Part No. 2 using Part No. 3.
  • STEP 4: Attach Part No. 6 to the existing isolator and Part No. 4 using Part No. 3.
  • STEP 5: Ensure that the new exhaust is not contacting any portion of the underbody of the vehicle or drivetrain.
  • STEP 6: Tighten all clamps starting from the rear of the vehicle. Do not exceed 30 ft-lb when tightening the clamp. Check all clamps after driving for 50 miles and retighten if necessary.

WARNING:
When working on, under, or around any vehicle, exercise caution. Allow the vehicle’s exhaust system to cool before removal to avoid severe burns from high exhaust temperatures. If working without a lift, always consult the vehicle manual for correct lifting specifications. Always wear safety glasses and ensure a safe work area. Failure to follow safety measures may result in serious injury or death.

Installation

  • STEP 1:
    (Carefully read all instructions before installation) Disconnect the vehicle’s battery before removal of the OEM exhaust system. This will prevent electrical accidents and will reset the computer if it applies to the vehicle. Remove the existing exhaust system from the vehicle. Only remove parts that will be replaced. Clean the existing flange with a wire brush to ensure proper sealing.

  • STEP 2:
    Attach item 2 to the existing isolator and exhaust with item 1 (nuts not included)

  • STEP 3:
    Attach item 4 to the existing isolator and item 2 to item 3

  • STEP 4:
    Attach item 6 to the existing isolator and item 4 to item 3

  • STEP 5:
    Ensure new exhaust is not contacting any portion of the underbody of the vehicle or drivetrain.

  • STEP 6:
    Tighten all clamps starting from the rear of the vehicle. (DO NOT EXCEED 30FT- LB WHEN TIGHTENING THE CLAMP AND CHECK ALL CLAMPS AFTER 50 MILES. RETIGHTEN IF NECESSARY)
