Product Information

The Juno Smart Speaker Light is a versatile lighting fixture that combines a speaker and a smart home device. It allows you to control your lighting and play music through a single device. With compatibility with popular smart home platforms like SmartThings, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa, the Juno Smart Speaker Light offers a seamless integration into your smart home ecosystem.

The product features include:

• Standard wall switch operation for basic on/off control
• Full lighting control functionality for on/off, dimming, and RGB color through the app

Product Usage Instructions

Software Update

1. Connect your phone to SmartThings by downloading the Samsung SmartThings app and creating an account.
2. Add the Speaker Light using the app by selecting Juno as the manufacturer and choosing the “connect device to phone” option. Note that a hub is not required for the software update.
3. After completing the onboarding process, go to the product tile and click on it. The software update will start automatically. If not, go to the product menu (top right corner of the interface) and click on it. If the software is already up to date, this option will be grayed out. Otherwise, click on it to start the update.

Factory Reset
If you plan to use the Speaker Light with SmartThings without a hub, follow these steps:

1. Turn on and off the Juno Speaker Light five times slowly from the light switch.
2. The light will blink three times, indicating that the factory reset is complete.

Connectivity Options
Choose one of the following options to connect your Juno Smart Speaker Light:

• A. Direct to Phone: Add Speaker Light with the SmartThings app. Select Juno as the manufacturer and use the “connect device to phone” option.
• B. SmartThings Hub Option: Add Speaker Light with SmartThings app. Select Juno and use the “connect to SmartThings” option for expanded functionality and group lighting control.
• C. Google Home: Add Speaker Light with the Google Home app. Follow the setup instructions for new devices.
• D. Amazon Alexa: Ask Alexa to discover your devices. Note that certain Amazon Alexa devices may require a SmartThings hub or an Amazon Eero 6 Mesh Wifi system for integration.

Smart Speaker Audio Operation

A. Standard Wall Switch
For basic on/off control at 100% brightness, use the wall switch.

B. Smart Home Platform
For expanded lighting control, including on/off, dimming, and RGB color options, follow these steps:

1. Go to Bluetooth Settings on your phone.
2. Connect to Juno Speaker (xxxx).
3. The Speaker will playback from your phone with full lighting control functionality using the app.

Juno Smart Speaker Light Quick Start Guide

START HERE

Factory Default: To ensure your speaker light has the latest software installed please follow these instructions FIRST.

1. Connect to SmartThings with phone:
   Download the Samsung SmartThings app and create an account. Add Speaker Light with the app. Pick “Juno” as the manufacturer and use the “connect device to phone” option.

   • Note : A hub is not required for software updates.

2. After completion of onboarding go to the product tile and click on it. The software update will prompt to start automatically if not, go to the product menu (top right corner of the interface) and click on it. If software is up to date this option will be grayed out. Otherwise, click on it to start updating.

3. Reset if necessary: If you plan to use the Speaker light with SmartThings without a hub finish here. Otherwise, factory reset the unit to begin onboarding to your selected platform.

   • To factory reset, the Juno Speaker Light turn it on and off five times slowly from the light switch. Light will blink three times.

Juno Smart Speaker Light Connectivity Options
(choose one)

Smart Speaker Light Operation with Standard Wall Switch:
Basic on/off from the wall switch at 100% brightness only. For more light color or dim level choose one of the other 4 options below.

• Direct to Phone
  • Add Speaker Light with the SmartThings app. Pick “Juno” and use the “connect device to phone” option.
• SmartThings hub option to expand functionality and Group lighting control
  • Add Speaker Light with the SmartThings app. Pick “Juno” and use the “connect to SmartThings” option.
• Google Home: Add Speaker Light with Google Home app.1 Select “set up device” > “new devices”
• Amazon Alexa:
  • Ask Alexa: “Alexa discover my devices”.2

A SmartThings hub is required when installing 6 or more light fixtures. Echo (4th Generation Smart Home Hub), Echo Plus, and Echo Show 10 are required. Integration with older Alexa devices will require an Amazon Eero 6 Mesh Wifi system or a SmartThings hub.

Smart Speaker Audio Operation Standard Wall Switch:
Go to Bluetooth Settings in your phone Connect to “Juno Speaker (xxxx)”. The speaker will playback from the phone as long as the wall switch is on.

Smart Speaker Audio Operation with Smart Home Platform for Expanded Lighting Control:
Go to Bluetooth Settings in your phone Connect to “Juno Speaker (xxxx)”. The speaker will playback from the phone with full lighting control functional for on/off/dim/RGB with the app.
