Product Information

The CrownTM by Neurosity is a wearable device that provides advanced brainwave monitoring and analysis. It is designed to enhance your cognitive performance and provide insights into your mental states. The Crown consists of an outer surface made of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) Thermoplastic and electrode surfaces made of latex-free elastomer with conductive filler and Ag/AgCl dip coated tips. It has a memory capacity of 8 GB and is powered by two rechargeable 850mAh and two 85mAh Lipo batteries. The battery life can last up to 3 hours, depending on usage. Please dispose of the Crown and battery in accordance with applicable local laws and regulations.

Usage Instructions

Before using the Crown, please read the following instructions carefully:

  1. Clean the Crown using an alcohol wipe.
  2. Do not wear the Crown in the shower, bath, or while swimming.
  3. Avoid wearing the Crown during strength training, working with heavy tools, or carrying heavy objects.
  4. Avoid wearing the Crown near objects made of metal, ceramics, or stones to prevent scratches.
  5. Keep the Crown away from children.
  6. Avoid exposing the Crown to heat, such as in a vehicle or under direct sunlight.
  7. Do not puncture the Crown or its battery.
  8. When setting down the Crown, be cautious of warm surfaces that can deform the material.

USE, CARE, AND MAINTENANCE

Use alcohol wipe to clean the Crown. The Crown should not be worn in shower, when taking a bath, or when swimming. Try to avoid wearing the Crown when strength training, working with a shovel or other heavy tools, or carrying heavy objects. In addition, try to avoid wearing the Crown next to objects which are made of metal, ceramics or stones, like diamond. The Crown may get scratches if it comes in close contact with harder materials made of e.g. gold, silver, aluminum. Keep the Crown away from children. Do not leave the Crown exposed to heat, such as in a vehicle or in the sun. Do not puncture the Crown or its battery. The Crown material is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene Thermoplastic. Like with all objects made of thermoplastics, be careful when setting down the Crown on warm surfaces, as excessive heat can lead to deformation of the material.

IN ADDITION, NEUROSITY AND ITS PARTNERS, SUPPLIERS AND AFFILIATES DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE NEUROSITY SERVICES (INCLUDING THE CROWN), EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, TITLE, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. LIMITED WARRANTY FOR THE CROWN

NEUROSITY WARRANTS TO THE ORIGINAL END USER PURCHASER THAT THE CROWN IS FREE FROM DEFECTS IN MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP FOR TWO (2) YEARS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.

If your local law in effect at the time of purchase requires a warranty period longer than two (2) years, this warranty shall be extended to the extent required by such law. Within the warranty period, Neurosity shall repair or replace at no charge to you any components of the Crown that fail the limited warranty provided. You shall be responsible for any related transportation charges. Replacement products may be new or refurbished at our discretion. This limited warranty does not apply to (i) normal wear and tear, including scratches and dents; (ii) consumable parts included in Crown, such as batteries, unless product damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (iii) damage resulting from your failure to use the Crown in accordance with the instructions accompanying the Crown or available at our website; (iv) damage resulting from an accident, flood, fire, misuse, or abuse; (v) damage resulting from service performed, or damage resulting from tampering or alterations to the Crown, by anyone not authorized by Neurosity; or (vi) use of the Crown with any other application or software than the Neurosity mobile app. Neurosity retains the exclusive right to repair or replace the Crown, or offer a full refund, at its sole discretion. Such remedy shall be your
sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of warranty. Warranty repairs and replacements have a new warranty which is the longer of ninety (90) days or the balance of the original two-year warranty.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT WILL NEUROSITY OR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES {INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THOSE RESULTING FROM LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF THE USE, INABILITY TO USE, OR THE RESULTS OF USE OF THE CROWN AND THE NEUROSITY SERVICES, WHETHER SUCH DAMAGES ARE BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY AND WHETHER OR NOT NEUROSITY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF NEUROSITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO
THE CROWN AND NEUROSITY SERVICES (REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION OR CLAIM, E.G. CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, NEGLIGENCE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY) IS LIMITED TO $100.

In some locations applicable law may not allow certain of the limitations described above, in which case such limitations will apply to the maximum extent allowed by such applicable law.

This device is a 2.4 GHz wideband transmission system (transceiver), intended for use in all EU member states and EFTA countries, except in France and Italy where restrictive use applies.

This equipment (Crown) has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in an installation.
