INTENDED USE

The pedal exerciser is a medical device indicated for people with mobility difficulties and it is indicated to reestablish coordination and the muscle mass of arms and legs.
It can be also used for the training of the upper and lower limbs.
The product is intended for domestic use only.

  • In case of damage or malfunction of your product DOT NOT use the product and please contact the authorized and trained representative.
  • Do not use the product for a purpose not indicated in this manual

  • If you don’t read this user manual, it is preferable not to use this product or another available part.

We are solely responsible for declaring that the Medical Devices mentioned in this statement are of Low-Risk Class (Class I) and comply with the requirements of the European Regulation 745/2017 and where appropriate, the standards and legislation referred to.

BEFORE EVERY USE

  1. Check if the frame is damaged in order to guarantee a safe use of the product. (There are no cracks or fractures in the frame).
  2. In case of damage do not use the product and contact your dealer for further instructions.
  3. Check, if the product is properly assembled and all screws are secure and well screwed on.
  4. Always check the condition of wear for the mechanical parts to ensure the absolute safe use of the product for people and objects
  5. Place the product in a stable way and in a flat surface.
  6. The pedals and bolts are securely tightened.
  7. The legs or the hands must be in contact with the pedals at any time during use to ensure the correct balance of the product and maximum safety.
  8. Do not straighten and reuse a deformed pedal exerciser. Risk of accident.

USE OF PRODUCT

The product is equipped with four nonslip tips, pedals with adjustable straps & a knob for the effort intensity regulation. The Item 0803156 has also and display

Place your feet or your hands on the pedals and secure them with the straps

Choose the desired difficulty level by turning the knob at the top

ASSEMBLING

NOTE: The illustrations for the assembly are indicative to make the assembly easier. Μay will be differences from reality.

The pedal exerciser is delivered completely or partially assembled and it does not need screws or wrench to be assembled.

MAINTENANCE

Check frequently the assembly of the pedals, the tips and the functioning of the knob for the effort intensity regulation.

Lubrication: the product has designed for a minimal maintenance; however, check every six months the lubrication on the moving parts, this would ensure an optimal duration. The pedals must freely rotate.

In case of repair, use only original spare parts and accessories

CLEANING AND DISINFECTION

  • Use only a wet cloth and mild soap on surfaces where they need cleaning. Then dry thoroughly before you use the product.
  • DO NOT leave the product wet.
  • Do not use chemical cleaners to clean the frame. This could cause damage to the surface of the product.
  • If you need to disinfect the product, use a common, mild disinfectant.
  • Protect the item from scratches, cuts and punctures.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

If one day you find that your product needs to be replaced or it is no longer working for you, consider protecting the environment:

  1. Do not dispose your product along with the rest of the public waste (this is also the meaning of the shown recycling sign).
  2. Contact your Public Authorities and they will instruct you of the Recycling centers to which your product must be disposed.
  3. Correct disposal of your product helps the protection of the environment as well as the recycling of the product’s components.

INCIDENT REPORTING: Any serious incident that occurs in relation to use of the device must be reported to the manufacturer and a competent authority of the Member State in which the user and / or patient resides

USE WITH YOUR FEET & HANDS:

  1.  Place the device at a distance that allows to easily insert the feet or hands on the pedals. Always place the right foot or hand on the pedal labelled with the letter “R” and the left foot or hand on the pedal labelled with the letter “L”.

  2. Adjust the foot straps as necessary.

  3. Adjust the the effort intensity following the doctor or the rapist’s recommendations.
    NOTE To increase the effort intesity turn clockwise the knob handle. To decrease the intensity, turn counterclockwise.

  4. Activate the device doing a rotatory movement

TIPS FOR THE USE

  1. The positioning of the pedal exerciser in relation to the height of the seat must be such as to allow the complete stretch of the leg without having to incline the pelvis to the right and to the left.
  2. Start the activity only when the chest is almost straight.
  3. To gradually effectuate the rehabilitation, the pedal exerciser is equipped with knob for the regulation of the effort intensity.
  4. Do not take the feet off the pedals while the pedal exerciser is in function.
  5. At the end of the use, turn clockwise the knob regulation, to increase the effort intensity. and avoid that the pedals freely rotate causing possible injuries.

TO COMPLETE THE PEDAL ASSEMBLY, FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Open the box and extract the product.

  2. Insert the knob handle in its compartment.
    For item 0803156

  3. Open the pedal exerciser pulling the legs outwards until the click of the snap

  4. To turn on the display the first time extract the flap positioned to left of the screen, then start pedaling and the display will automatically turn on

The display shows the Time, the Rounds Per Minute, and total cycles.
To reset it simply hold down the red button below the screen for a few seconds. The display automatically turns off after a short period of inactivity.
To close the pedal exerciser, pull outwards the ring of the snap fastener and close the legs

If the display does not turn on or reads incorrectly, the battery requires replacement.

To replace the battery, use a small screwdriver and remove the display panel. Turn the display panel over and remove the watch- style battery. Insert a new battery and replace the display panel. Battery type: LP44

WARRANTY

The product is guaranteed for a period of one (1) year from the purchasing date. The warranty apply on factory defects & DOES NOT apply on damages resulting from misuse, poor maintenance, modification, overuse, or non- compliance with the product’s operating instructions.

Also DOES NOT apply on the parts, that can wear out during use or over time.

Damages or defects caused by natural disasters, unauthorized maintenance or repair, power supply problems (where applicable) & carriers are not covered by the warranty. No service or spare part is applied unless it has been inspected by an authorized service department or the manufacturer of the product. Shipping costs for goods of warranty are to be paid by the end user- customer or by dealer.
