Product Usage Instructions

1. Read all instructions before using this appliance.
2. Use the fan only for purposes described in the instruction manual.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the unit in water.
4. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table, counter, or come in contact with hot surfaces or leave exposed to high traffic areas.
5. Do not use the fan outdoors.
6. To disconnect, grip the plug and pull it from the wall outlet. Never yank on the cord.
7. Always use the fan on a dry, level surface.
8. Do not operate the fan until it is fully assembled with all parts properly in place.
9. This product is intended for household use ONLY and not for commercial or industrial applications.
10. WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock and injury to persons, do not use the fan in a window.
11. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not disassemble or modify the product.

Fuse Replacement Instructions

1. Unplug the fan. Grasp the plug and remove it from the receptacle or other outlet device. NOTE: Do not unplug by pulling on the cord.
2. Open the fuse cover, located on the top of the plug, by using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver to slide the cover towards the prongs. (See Figure 2)
3. Ensure the fuse cover is completely open before attempting to remove the fuse.
4. Remove the fuse carefully by using a small screwdriver to pry it from the compartment at the metal ends of the fuse. (See Figure 2)
5. Place the plug on a solid, flat surface. Insert a new 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse into the fuse compartment. Use a small screwdriver to secure the metal ends of the fuse into the compartment. CAUTION: Risk of fire. Replace the fuse only with a 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.
6. Slide the fuse cover closed completely. NOTE: If the fuse cover is difficult to close, make sure the fuse is completely secured in place by pressing on the metal ends of the fuse.
7. CAUTION: Risk of fire. Do not replace the attachment plug. It contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard the product if the attachment plug is damaged.

13. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table, counter or come in contact with hot surfaces or leave exposed to high traffic areas.

22. This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the user servicing instructions (follow product marking for proper fuse rating) and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short circuit may be present and the product should be discarded or contact customer service.

THIS APPLIANCE HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MODIFY THIS PLUG OR DEFEAT THIS SAFETY FEATURE IN ANY WAY.

OPERATION

ASSEMBLY
This Table Fan comes completely assembled and is ready for use.

TILT ADJUSTMENT
Gently move the fan head up or down manually to the desired angle.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Set the fan base on a dry, level surface.
2. Make sure the Speed Control Knob (E) is in the OFF (0) position.
3. Plug cord into any standard 120 volt AC outlet.
4. To adjust the speed, turn the speed control knob (E) to the desired setting, 1-2-3.

FAN CLEANING

• Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
• Do not allow water to drip on or into the fan housing.
• Use only a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution.
• Do not use harsh chemicals such as gasoline, thinner or benzene as a cleaner.
• Do not attempt to remove the fan blade.

FAN HEAD AND BASE CLEANING

• Using a soft, moist cloth, with or without a mild soap solution, carefully clean the fan base and head. Use CAUTION around the housing area.
• Do not allow the motor or other electrical components to be exposed to water.

FAN STORAGE

• Store the fan in a clean, dry location between seasons or when not in use for an extended period of time.
• Keep the fan protected from dirt and dust during storage.

MAINTENANCE

USER SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these instructions to safely and correctly care for this fan.
REPLACEABLE FUSE
If the (2.5 Amp, 125 Volt) replaceable fuse blows, please visit our website at www.getholmesfans.com for information on how to order a new fuse. Follow the below instructions to replace the fuse on the plug.
REPLACING THE FUSE

1. Unplug the fan.
   Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device.
   NOTE: Do not unplug by pulling on cord.

2. Open fuse cover, located on the top of the plug, by using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver to slide the cover towards the prongs.
   NOTE: Ensure the fuse cover is completely open before attempting to remove fuse.

3. Remove fuse carefully by using a small screwdriver to pry it from the compartment at the metal ends of the fuse. (See Figure 2)

4. Place plug on a solid, flat surface. Insert new 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse into fuse compartment. Use a small screwdriver to secure the metal ends of the fuse into the compartment.
   CAUTION: Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.

5. Slide fuse cover closed completely.
   NOTE: If fuse cover is difficult to close, make sure the fuse is completely secured in place by pressing on metal ends of the fuse.
   CAUTION: Risk of fire. Do not replace the attachment plug. It contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard product if the attachment plug is damaged.
