Product Information

The product is a 32″ Tower Fan with a remote control. It is manufactured by Sunbeam Products, Inc. The model number is HTF3252R. The fan has a polarized plug for safety, and it comes with a 3-year limited warranty.

Cleaning and Maintenance

To ensure proper and safe care for your fan, follow these cleaning and maintenance instructions:

  1. Unplug the fan before cleaning.
  2. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the fan grill, housing, and base. Do not attempt to remove the fan blade.
  3. Exercise caution when cleaning around the motor housing area to prevent water exposure to the motor and other electrical components.

Replacing the Fuse
If the replaceable fuse (5 Amp, 125 Volt) blows, follow these instructions to replace it:

  1. Unplug the fan from the power outlet.
  2. Open the fuse cover located on the top of the plug by sliding it down towards the prongs using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver. Ensure that the fuse cover is completely open.
  3. Carefully remove the blown fuse from the compartment by using a small screwdriver to pry it out of the compartment from the metal ends.
  4. Place the plug on a solid, flat surface. Insert a new 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse into the fuse compartment.
  5. Secure the metal ends of the fuse into the compartment using a small screwdriver. Note: Only replace the fuse with a 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse to avoid the risk of fire.
  6. Slide the fuse cover closed completely. If it is difficult to close, ensure that the fuse is securely in place by pressing down on the metal ends.
  7. Do not replace the attachment plug as it contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. If the attachment plug is damaged, discard the product.

Fan Storage
When storing the fan in the off-season, follow these guidelines:

  • Keep the fan in a safe, dry location.
  • Protect the fan head from dust accumulation.

  5. Unplug from the outlet when not in use, when moving fan from one location to another, before putting on or removing parts and cleaning.

  8. To avoid fire hazards, NEVER place the cord under rugs or any parts near an open flame, cooking or other heating appliance.

  10. Do not run a cord under the carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route the cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange the cord away from the traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  11. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards.
  12. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table, counter or come in contact with hot surfaces or leave exposed to high-traffic areas.
  13. Do not use outdoors.
  14. To disconnect, grip the plug and pull from the wall outlet. Never yank on the cord.
  15. Always use on a dry, level surface.
  16. Do not operate fan until fully assembled with all parts properly in place.
  17. This product is intended for household use ONLY and not for commercial or industrial applications.
  18. WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock and injury to persons, do not use in the window.
  19.  WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
  20. This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the user servicing instructions (follow product marking for proper fuse rating) and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short circuit may be present and the product should be discarded or returned to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.

WARNING : Chemical Burn Hazard. Keep batteries away from children.
This product contains a lithium button/coin cell battery. If a new or used lithium button/coin cell battery is swallowed or enters the body, it can cause severe internal burns and can lead to death in as little as 2 hours. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: (SEE FIGURE 1 & 2)

NOTE : MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL CONTENTS FROM THE PACKAGE. PLEASE CHECK PACKAGING MATERIALS FOR PARTS THAT COULD BE REQUIRED TO OPERATE YOUR FAN.

  1. Assemble base halves around the power cord. To secure the base halves together, slide the posts of one base half into the slots of the second base half. Refer to Figure 2.
  2. Line up the screws holes of the base halves with the holes located on the bottom of the fan housing. Secure with the two screws included with the product. Refer to Figure 2.
  3. Secure power cord as shown in Figure 2.
  4. Turn fan right side up and place on a dry and level surface.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: (SEE FIGURE 3)

  1. Plug the cord into a standard 120-volt AC outlet.
  2. To turn the fan on, press the power button ( ) located on the control panel or remote control. The fan will start running in the lowest setting “1” ( Low ).
  3. Press the speed button ( ) to cycle through the below 3 speed settings in sequence. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate to confirm the selection:

  5. Medium
  6. High
  7. To turn the oscillation on and off, press the oscillation button ( ) located on the control panel or remote control. The oscillation Indicator light will illuminate on the Control Panel.
  8. To set your fan to automatically shut off, press the timer button ( ) located on the control panel or the remote control. When set, the fan will run and automatically shut off after the set duration of time (1-8 hours) has expired.
  9. To activate the breeze mode ( ), press the sleep/ breeze mode button ( ) located on the control panel or remote control. When turned on, the fan will randomly cycle through the three speed settings recreating a natural outdoor breeze. To activate sleep mode ( ), press the mode button again. This function slows the fan speed down, and when used in conjunction with the timer settings, will ultimately turn the fan off.
  10. To turn the fan off press the power button ( )located on the control panel or remote control.
    NOTE : Your fan features an LED display panel. When a specific feature is activated on your fan, the LED panel will illuminate with the corresponding icons showing which features have been activated.

REMOTE CONTROL HANDSET:
NOTE: PLEASE REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE STICKER FROM THE REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY BEFORE OPERATION. This unit includes one lithium battery, CR2025/3V. Remove the battery before discarding the remote. Battery Replacement
The cells should be disposed of properly, including keeping them away from children. Even used cells may cause injury.

  • a) Locate the battery compartment on the bottom back of the remote control handset. Push the tab and pull the battery tray.
  • b) Remove the old battery.
  • c) Place the new battery into the battery compartment.
  • d) Slide the battery compartment into the remote control handset.

NOTES:

  • Remove the battery from the equipment when it is not being used for an extended period of time.
  • Remove the used battery promptly.
  • Do not discard used batteries into household trash containers. Contact your local government for disposal or recycling practices in your area.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

CLEANING/MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these instructions to correctly and safely care for your fan. Please remember:

REPLACEABLE FUSE
If your (5 Amp, 125 Volt) replaceable fuse blows, please visit our website at www.holmesproducts.com for information on how to order a new fuse. Follow the below instructions to replace the fuse on the plug. User Servicing Instructions

  1. Unplug your fan. Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling on cord.

  2. Open fuse cover, located on the top of the plug, by using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver to slide the cover down towards the prongs.
    NOTE : Ensure that fuse cover is completely open before attempting to remove fuse.

  3. Remove fuse carefully by using a small screwdriver to pry the fuse out of the compartment by the metal ends of the fuse. (see Figure 4)

  4. Place plug on a solid, flat surface. Insert new 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse into fuse compartment and use a small screwdriver to secure the metal ends of the fuse into the compartment.
    CAUTION : Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.

  5. Slide fuse cover closed completely. If fuse cover is difficult to close, make sure fuse is secured in place completely by pressing down on metal ends of the fuse.

  6. Risk of fire. Do not replace attachment plug. Contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard product if the attachment plug is damaged.

FAN CLEANING

  • Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
  • Do not allow water to drip on or enter into fan housing.
  • Be sure to use a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution.
  • Do not use gasoline, thinner or benzene as a cleaner.

Clean the fan grill, housing and base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not attempt to remove the fan blade. Please use caution around the motor housing area. Do not allow the motor or other electrical components to be exposed to water.

FAN STORAGE
When storing your fan in the off season, it is important to keep it in a safe dry location. It is important to protect the fan head from dust.

3 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Sunbeam Products, Inc. (collectively “Sunbeam”) warrants that for a period of three years from the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship. Sunbeam, at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product. Doing so will void this warranty. This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. Sunbeam dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling Sunbeam products do not have the right to alter, modify or any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty. This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than Sunbeam or an authorized Sunbeam service center. What are the limits on Sunbeam’s Liability?
