Important
Read instructions throughly prior to installation. Over-tightening or uneven tightening of front bezel screws can break or distort the glass.

Installation

1. Lay the parts and mirrors on a clean, soft surface. Disassemble the mirrors. Place the glass in a safe place. Set the original front and rear bezels and other hardware aside for the next steps.

2. Grab a Nighthawk light box, bezel and main mirror body. Add the bezel, 4 M4 4mm screws to hold the bezel, then add the Nighthawk light box to the panel and install the screws (2 M4, 6mm & 2 M6, 16mm) on the inside of the main body to hold it all  together.
   A small amount of blue thread locker can be used in this step if you are worried about things coming loose over time but it is 100% optional.

3. Flip the housing on its back, make sure the light box is resting on a clean soft surface.

4. Carefully place the mirror glass into the housing, foam side down, then place the bezel on top of that.

All of the screw on the front will be the same except for the bottom 2 next to the break away mechanism. Make sure that you install the M4, 16mm screws in the two holes next to the break away mechanism – those screws will go through the top housing,  past the mirror glass and into the light box.

Standard Mirror Assembly

Important
Read instructions throughly prior to installation. Installation should be performed by a qualified professional. Over-tightening or uneven tightening of front bezel screws can break or distort the glass.

Installation

1. Place a towel on a table and lay out all parts of the mirror assembly.
2. Place the mirror mount into the mount housing.
3. Attach the mount housing assembly to the main housing plate. Use a small amount of thread locker if desired.
4. Depending on the model/style of mirror the foam material may be separated from the mirror. In this case, place the foam into the main mirror housing.
5. If the foam is attached to the mirror glass simply place the glass into the main mirror housing with the mirror side facing out.
6. Align the front bezel over the holes and finger tighten the screws until snug. Thread locker can be used in this step that screws do not need to be over tightened.
7. Slowly tighten each bezel screw in an alternating pattern to for even distribution of pressure across the glass. Check glass to ensure there is no movement or distortion.
8. Install the rear bezel (if applicable), use of thread locker is optional.

NIGHTHAWK LIGHT BOX
In the maintenance or replacement process simply replace the Mirror Mount Housing and bezel in the above steps. The only difference in assembly is that the bezel muse be placed in the Main Mirror Housing first, then the Light box Housing will be install on  top of that. Once the box is installed and tightened down you will follow steps 4-8 in the above installation guide.

LENS SWAP INSTRUCTION

• When installing a different lens, simply remove the 4 M4 screws using a 2.5mm allen wrench from the bezel.

• Carefully remove the front bezel and lens.

• Make sure the o-ring is properly fitted in the o-ring groove of the housing when installing the new lens.
  The o-ring is not directional, although the shape has been designed to match the housing profile groove.

• Once you have ensured the o-ring, lens, and bezel has been properly seated, begin tightening the 4 M4 screws.

The bezel hardware should be torqued to 6.5 lbf.in, in a “criss-cross” pattern.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

Baja Designs proudly offers a LIFETIME WARRANTY against manufacturer’s defect on all of the products that we manufacture.
These are comprehensive warranties; other than the exclusions below – you’re covered. If your LED or HID bulb burns out, you’re covered. Additionally, cutting off our connector or changing your lenses does not automatically void your warranty.
EXCLUSIONS
Installation errors, abuse, misuse or crash damage. You must be the original owner of the product and can supply proof of purchase.
Baja Designs manufactures its own products as well as resells products manufactured by others. Baja Designs makes no express or implied warranties on products not manufactured by Baja Designs including without limitation any warranties or merchantability  and fitness for a particular purpose.
We will however, pass on all warranties made by the manufacturer, who has sole responsibility for performing such warranties.
Baja Designs will pay the freight if your product is less than 90 days old, otherwise defective products must be returned to Baja Designs, Inc., freight prepaid. At our option, we will repair or replace items in question and return them at no charge. If the identical  product is no longer available, we will replace with a similar product of equal value. Baja Designs Inc. will not be responsible for any indirect or consequential damages in connection with defective merchandise.
Items purchased through a Baja Designs authorized dealer must be returned through the dealer.
Only available on LED auxiliary lights and product must be in sellable condition at MSRP. Product that has been damaged in any way after the original purchase date will be excluded from this guarantee

INDEMNIFICATION
Buyer hereby acknowledges off-roading, racing and driving at night are dangerous activities and that the products and/or supplies purchased from Baja Designs are used in an inherently dangerous activity that may endanger life and limb; and in no event shall  the seller, or seller’s heirs and assigns, be held liable for consequential damages, nor shall seller’s liability on any claim for damages arising out of or connected with the sale, delivery, or use of purchased products and/or supplies exceed the purchase price of the products and/or supplies.
