FEATURE OF THE DEHYDRATOR
This unit uses a built-in fan and heating element to produce a warm airflow. This generates a drying process for any kind of food you put inside the unit. Dried foods are great for snacking as they retain almost all of their nutritional value and flavor.
BEFORE FIRST USE
- Before using the appliance for the first time, clean the trays with a damp cloth and a little detergent. Rinse and dry them afterwards.
- After initial cleaning, let the unit run for about 30 minutes without placing any food in it. Smoke or odors generated during this process are normal. Please ensure sufficient ventilation.
OPERATION
-
Place the appliance on a flat, level surface.
-
Put the desired food in appropriately sized pieces in the trays. Do not overload the trays and never overlap the food.
-
Stack the trays and insert them into the unit.
The trays can be stacked with a height distance of 1.3 cm or 2.5 cm (See Fig. A). This allows the trays to be adjusted to the thickness of the food to be dehydrated.
To achieve the maximum height, position the plastic clip (A) directly on the spacers (B) of the tray stacked below.
To achieve the minimum height, position the plastic clip (A) next to the spacers (B) of the tray stacked below. -
Close the lid.
-
Connect the appliance to the power outlet. A ‘beep’ sounds and the display shows “0000”.
-
Set the desired dehydrating time by pressing the [TIME] button and adjust it with the [+]/[-] buttons. (Default: 10:00 | Full range: 00:30-24:00, adjustable in 30 min steps)
-
Set the desired temperature for dehydrating by pressing the [TEMP] button and adjust it with the [+]/[-] buttons.
(Default: 70°C | Full range: 35-70°C, adjustable in 5°C steps) -
After setting the time and temperature press the [ON/OFF] button within 5 seconds to start the dehydrating process.
-
The time on the display will start to count down. When the time is up, the unit automatically stops, beeps 5 times and displays “End”.
Note: If no input is made within 5 seconds when setting the time and temperature, the unit will return to standby mode and displays “0000”.
DRYING TIPS:
The drying time varies according to the following factors:
- Thickness of pieces or slices – (The thinner the slices are cut, the faster the demanded drying level can be reached)
- Number of trays filled with food
- Volume of food being dried
- Set temperature level
- Humidity in your environment
- Your personal preference for the degree of drying
Recommendations:
- Check your food every hour.
- Rotate and/or re-stack the trays if you notice uneven drying.
