PEREL LEDA401 Series LED Floodlight
Product Information
The LEDA401 Series is a floodlight designed for both commercial and residential use. It features a die-cast aluminium housing with tempered glass, giving it a durable and sturdy construction. The floodlight has an ultra-thin design and comes with an adjustable bracket for easy installation. It also includes a 50 cm unterminated cable for convenient wiring. With an IP65 rating, it is suitable for outdoor use and can withstand exposure to various weather conditions. The floodlight has an energy efficiency index (EEI) rating of A+, ensuring that it consumes less energy while providing bright illumination.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure the device is kept away from extreme temperatures.
- Keep the device away from children and unauthorized users.
- To prevent the risk of electroshock, do not disassemble or open the housing yourself. Contact qualified personnel for repairs.
- Before installation or maintenance activities, ensure the luminaire is electrically isolated from the mains.
- Avoid crimping the power cord and protect it against damage. Ifthe power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or qualified persons.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or open the cover as there are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer to an authorized dealer for service and spare parts.
- Avoid looking directly at the operating lamp to prevent eye injury from possibly hazardous optical radiation.
- Take caution as the device may heat up during use.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 0.5 m between the device’s light output and any illuminated surface.
- Do not use the luminaire if the protective glass is cracked orbroken. Disconnect it from the mains and have it repaired by a qualified technician.
- Familiarize yourself with the functions of the device beforeusing it.
- Modifying the device is forbidden for safety reasons. Any damage caused by user modifications will not be covered by the warranty.
- Use the device only for its intended purpose. Using it in unauthorized ways may result in hazards such as short circuits, burns, electroshocks, lamp explosion, or crashes, and will void thewarranty.
- Damage resulting from disregarding the guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty. The dealer will not be responsible for any defects or problems that arise.
- If transporting the device, use the original packaging. Keep this manual for future reference.

Installation
Guidelines
- A qualified technician should install and service this device.
- The construction to which the device is attached should be able to support 4 times the weight of the device for one hour without deformation.
- Never stand directly below the device when it is being mounted, removed or serviced. Have a qualified technician check the device once a year and once before you bring it into service.
- Overhead mounting requires extensive experience: calculating workload limits, determining the installation material to be used… Have the material and the device itself checked regularly. Do not attempt to install the device yourself if you lack these qualifications as improper installation may result in serious injuries.
- This device is not suitable for dimming.
Distances
- Keep at least 50 cm distance at the top and 30 cm on either side.
- Respect a minimum distance of 0.5 m between the device’s light output and any illuminated surface.
Suitable Mounting Positions
Mounting the Lamp

This luminaire does not have a built-in device to disconnect it from the electric mains. Make sure to electrically isolate the luminaire before installation or maintenance activities are performed.

Use the mounting bracket [1] to determine the location of the mounting holes.

Drill the holes and secure the bracket using screws and wall plugs.

Connect the power cable [4] to a suitable junction box (not incl.). Make sure the connection is properly earthed. Make sure there is no strain on the cable; leave sufficient slack.
Warning: if the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, his service agent, or a similar qualified person in order to avoid any hazard. -
To point the lamp in the desired direction: loosen the hinges [2] using a hex key.

Tilt the lamp in the desired angle and tighten the hinges.

Cleaning and Maintenance
- All screws should be tight and free of corrosion.
- The housing, the visible parts, the mounting supports and the installation location (e.g. ceiling, suspension, trussing) should not be deformed, modified or tampered with; e.g. do not drill extra holes in mounting supports, do not change the location of the connections…
- Mechanically moving parts must not show any signs of wear and tear.
- The electric power supply cables must not show any damage. Have a qualified technician maintain the device.
- If the protective glass [3] is damaged, disconnect the lamp immediately from the mains. Have it repaired immediately by a qualified technician. Do not use the lamp with a cracked or broken protective glass.
- This luminaire does not have a built-in device to disconnect it from the electric mains. Make sure to electrically isolate the luminaire before installation or maintenance activities are performed.
- Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
- There are no user-serviceable parts.
- Contact your dealer for spare parts if necessary.

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):
- All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.
- Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion.
You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.
Not covered by warranty:
- all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity…), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;
- consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, nonrechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts… (unlimited list);
- flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc.…;
- flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions;
- damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);
- damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;
- all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.
- Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.
- Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.
- Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.
- The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
