  4. If the doorbell starts beeping and a red LED starts flashing, it indicates low battery. Replace the batteries with new ones as soon as possible.

  5. Ensure that the doorbell button is not placed directly on metal objects or materials containing metal, such as plastic windows or doors with a metal frame. This can affect proper functioning.

  6. If troubleshooting is needed, refer to the troubleshooting section in the user manual.

  7. For upkeep and maintenance, follow these precautions:

    • Dispose of the product at designated waste collection points or
civic amenity sites to prevent environmental impact.

    • Do not dispose of the product with domestic waste.

    • Contact local authorities for information about special collection points for sorted waste.

Wireless Doorchime

The set consists of a doorbell button (transmitter) and a chime (receiver). The chime is designed for permanent placement in a room or can be used as a portable „pager“. Transmission between the button and the chime is carried by 433.92 MHz radio waves. Range depends on local conditions and reaches up to 100 m in open spaces without interference. For proper usage of the wireless doorchime, read the instruction manual thoroughly.

EMOS-P5712-Wireless-Doorchime-FIG-1 Button Description (see Fig. 2)

  1. ring button/button LED
  2. hole for opening the battery cover
  3. battery compartment CR2032 – battery for the button S2 – button for erasing the doorchime‘s memory

Button Installation (see Fig. 3)

Pairing the Button with the Chime

  1. Remove the rear cover by inserting a screwdriver into the hole on the side of the button. Insert a 3 V type CR2032 battery into the button. Make sure to observe the correct polarity!
  2. Insert 3× 1.5 V AA batteries into the chime. Make sure to observe the correct polarity. Use 1.5 V alkaline batteries only; do not use rechargeable 1.2 V batteries.
  3. Once the batteries are inserted, the chime will switch to self-learning pairing mode, which lasts for 30 seconds. During this time, press the ring button. The LED on the doorbell will flash, the chime will ring and the button is now paired with the chime. This automatically ends self-learning mode.
  4. Re-assemble the button.
  5. To pair additional buttons, repeat the process from step 1.
  6. You can pair a maximum of 8 buttons this way.
  7. Transmission range is 100 m in an open space without electromagnetic interference. The range is influenced by local conditions, such as the number of walls through which the signal has to pass, metal door frames and other elements which affect the transmission of radio signals (presence of other radio devices operating at a similar frequency, such as wireless thermometers, gate controls etc.). Transmission range can decrease drastically due to these factors.
  8. The chime (receiver) is designed for permanent placement in a room or can be used as a portable „pager“.

Note: If you pair another button (9th and more), the memory of the first buttons in descending order will be automatically erased.

Erasing the Memory of Paired Buttons

  1. Remove the button‘s rear cover.
  2. Set the chime to pairing mode – remove the batteries from the chime and reinsert them. A ringtone will play.
  3. Press the S2 button on the back of the button (transmitter) within 30 seconds.
  4. The ringtone will play again – the memory of all paired buttons is erased.

Ringtone Selection

  • On the front of the chime under the optical signalisation glass is the button for selecting a ringtone.
  • Repeatedly press the button to select a ringtone – the last ringtone played is the one set.

Setting Ringtone Volume
You can set 4 volume levels (100 % – 75 % – 50 % – 25 %).

  1. Repeatedly press the button.
  2. The volume that played last is the one that is set.

Setting Ringing Mode
Repeatedly press the button.
Each press sets a different ringing mode:

  1. Acoustic + optical signalisation
  2. Acoustic signalisation only
  3. Optical signalisation only

Indication of Low Battery in the Doorbell

  • If the doorbell starts beeping and a red LED starts flashing, the batteries are low.
  • Replace the batteries with new ones as soon as possible.

Installation of the Doorbell Button (Transmitter)

  1. Before installing the button, check that the set works reliably in the chosen spot.
  2. Remove the rear cover by inserting a screwdriver into the hole on the side of the button.
  3. Use double-sided adhesive tape or two screws to attach the back of the cover to the wall. Although the button is weather-resistant, choose a location where it is protected, e.g. in a wall recess.
  4. Re-assemble the button.
  5. Press the ring button (transmitter) to ring the chime. Pressing is accompanied by illumination of a red LED indicating the button has sent a radio signal.
  6. If the red LED on the button does not light up, the battery is low and should be replaced. The battery in the button will last for one year of operation. Its endurance may vary depending on the intensity and conditions of use.

Important warning: The doorbell button (transmitter) can be placed on wood or brick walls without issue. However, never place the button directly onto metal objects or materials containing metal, such as plastic windows or doors that have a metal frame. In such cases, the transmitter will not work properly.

Troubleshooting

The chime does not ring

The chime may be out of range.

  • Change the distance between the button and the chime; range may be affected by local conditions.
  • The transmission range (max. 100 m) is influenced by local conditions, such as the number of walls through which the signal has to pass, metal door frames and other elements which affect the transmission of radio signals (presence of other radio devices operating at a similar frequency, such as wireless thermometers, gate controls etc.). Transmission range can decrease drastically due to these factors.
  • The battery in the button (transmitter) may be drained.
  • Replace the battery. Make sure to observe the correct polarity.
  • The batteries in the chime (receiver) may be drained.
  • Replace the batteries. Make sure to observe the correct polarity.

Upkeep and Maintenance

The wireless digital doorchime is a sensitive electronic device. Therefore, it is necessary to observe the following precautions:

  • The chime is designed for permanent placement in a room or can be used as a portable „pager“.
  • Periodically check the functionality of the doorchime and replace the batteries in time. Use only quality 1.5 V alkaline batteries with the prescribed parameters.
  • When the doorchime is not used for a long time, remove the batteries from the chime and the button.
  • Do not subject the button or chime to excessive vibrations and shocks.
  • Do not subject the button or chime to excessive heat and direct sunlight or moisture.
  • To clean the device, use a slightly moistened cloth with a small amount of detergent; do not use aggressive cleaning agents or solvents.
  • Bring used batteries to a waste collection point or the store where you bought them.
  • After the end of the set‘s service life, bring it to the store where you bought it, the store where you buy a new one or a designated waste collection point (civic amenity site etc.).
  • Do not dispose with domestic waste. Use special collection points for sorted waste. Contact local authorities for information about collection points. If the electronic devices would be disposed on landfill, dangerous substances may reach groundwater and subsequently food chain, where it could affect human health.
