Product Usage Instructions

To use the Lite Series | DH-SD2A500HB-GN-A-PV-S2 camera:

1. Ensure the camera is properly connected to a power source and network.
2. Download and install the mobile app for the camera.
3. Launch the mobile app and follow the on-screen instructions to set up the camera.
4. Once set up, you can access the camera’s live video feed, control PTZ functions, and enable two-way talk through the mobile app.
5. Configure advanced features like IVS, tripwire, intrusion detection, and active deterrence through the camera’s settings in the mobile app or browser-based management software.
6. You can also adjust video settings such as resolution, frame rate, bit rate control, day/night mode, and image rotation.
7. For audio, you can configure compression settings and enable audio detection.
8. Ensure proper network connectivity and configure network settings as required.
9. If desired, you can mount the camera using the optional PFM900-E Integrated Mount Tester.

System Overview

The Active Defense series of small PT cameras raises the bar on performance. After detecting an intrusion, it triggers sound and light alarms, and then instantly relays vital information on the intrusion to the mobile client, keeping you informed no matter where you are. It supports two-way talk, allowing you to communicate with people in front of the camera in real time. It also records videos in full color, and uses Smart Dual Illuminators to help produce vivid images, making it easy to obtain information on events, and reduce light pollution.

With advanced scene-adaptive rate control algorithm, Dahua smart encoding technology realizes the higher encoding efficiency than H.265 and H.264, provides high-quality video, and reduces the cost of storage and transmission.

Two-way Talk
With its built-in high-sensitivity microphone and high-power speaker, the camera realizes two-way talk through the mobile app.

Smart Dual Illuminators
Dahua Smart Dual Illuminators technology adopts smart algorithm to detect targets. Usually, the IR illuminator is on at night; when the target appears in the monitoring area, the white light is on, and the camera records the full-color video and information of key events. That is, the camera links snapshot and video with full-color image. When the target is out of the monitoring area, the white light is off and the IR illuminator is on, which reduces light pollution efficiently.

Dahua siren and light active deterrence network camera supports the white light alarm and voice alarm when perimeter event occurs, to realize the deterrence and effective intervention. The camera is built in one voice, and supports customized voice importing.
