In Service Maintenance Check
- All bolt connections should be checked after driving a short distance when you first install your roof racks.
- All bolted connections should be checked again at regular intervals (weekly is recommended, depending on road conditions, usage, loads and distances travelled).
- All bolted connections should be checked each time they are re-fitted.
- Off-road conditions are more rigorous. Check all bolted connections and your load more regularly.
- Ensure that your vehicle manufacturer’s GVM, and gross axle weights are not exceeded (refer to vehicle owner’s manual).
Torque Settings:

Recommendations:
It is essential that all bolt connections be checked after driving a short
distance when you first install your roof racks. Bolt connections should be
checked again at regular intervals (once a week is enough, depending on road
conditions, usage, loads and distances travelled). You should also check the
roof racks each time they are re-fitted.
Always make sure to fasten your load securely. Please also ensure that all
loads are evenly distributed and that the centre of gravity is kept as low as
possible and must be entirely contained within the extents of the roof racks.

1 Place masking tape onto the canopy to protect the approximate area to be drilled. Protects the polished canopy finish from being scratched during install.
Refer to your vehicle’s supplement sheet to position the track on the canopy
roof. The larger hollow section of track extrusion must face towards the
outside of the canopy.
IMPORTANT: Ensure front and rear measurements (Xmm) are equal to ensure tracks
are parallel before drilling
Refer to supplement sheets for:
- Hilux,
- Amarok
- Navara NP300,
- Triton,
- D-Max Gen3
- BT-50 Gen3.
- Complete Fit my vehicle
- Select your Canopy Solution
- Scroll down to ‘Product Details’
- Select the ‘INSTRUCTIONS’ tab to View the Fitting Supplement
- Place the tracks onto the canopy using the dimensions provided.
Mark a line on the canopy at the end of tracks. Remove tracks and with a straight edge, join lines to use as reference point.
3 To hold the track in position, apply a strip of masking tape at the front, middle and rear. Using a sharp 6.5mm drill bit, held perpendicular to the surface of the canopy, apply light pressure and drill. Drill through both the outer and inner skin then vacuum swarf once complete.
4 Using a soldering iron, slowly run the hot tip around the circumference of the drilled hole three times. This will seal the ABS from any microcracks that may occur after drilling.
5 To install the end caps, push the top tabs of the end cap through the slots in the track as shown. (A non-oil based lubricant may be used to assist pushing the tabs through). Ensure that the lower tongue is positioned underneath the track and align with the hole.
6 Remove the backing tape from the track.
7 It is required to apply Butyl Patches to the holes drilled in the outer skin before fixing the track. Remove the masking tape from the roof of the canopy and clean the top surface with a damp microfibre cloth. Remove the backing tape from the butyl patches and place over drilled holes in the canopy.
Note: Repeat Steps 1-9 for opposing side
10 Tighten the M6 nuts to 3Nm starting from the centre, alternating each side working towards the front and rear of the track. Do NOT overtighten as this may cause deformation to the internal ABS skin.
11 Assemble the base kit and legs as shown in respective instructions (sold separately)
