GETTING STARTED

Ensure that you have gathered all the required materials that are needed for the installation.

FOR YOUR SAFETY

WARNING: Be sure the electricity to the wires you are working on is shut, either the fuse is removed or the circuit breaker is shut. You don’t need special tools to install this fixture. Be sure to follow the steps in the order given. Under no circumstances should a fixture be hung on house electrical wires, nor should a swag-type fixture be installed on a ceiling that contains a radiant-type heating system. Read instruc-tions carefully, if you are unclear as to how to proceed, consult a qualified electrician.

ARE INSTRUCTIONS
To clean them, wipe them with a soft cloth. Clean glass with a mild soap. Do not use abrasive materials such as scouring pads or powders, steel wool, or abrasive paper.

INSTALLATION (FIG. 1)

Lower shade (K) down over fixture body (O). Place the bracket on top of shade (K) onto the bracket on the fixture body (O).
Align holes in the bracket on shade (K) with holes on the fixture body (O). Screw one thumbscrew (L) into each hole in the bracket on the shade and into holes in the bracket on the fixture body (O). Tighten thumbscrews (L) to secure shade (K) in place. DO NOT over-tighten.
INSTALLATION (FIG. 2)
Connect one locking link (G) to the loop.
Determine the desired hanging height of the texture. Cut chain (H) to length to achieve the desired height.
Slip the chain link at the end of the chain (H) onto the locking link (G) on the loop
Weave texture wires through chain links, skipping every other chain link.
Slip threaded ring (F) down over the end of the chain (H) and fixture wires.
Slip a hole in the canopy (D) over the end of the chain (H) and fixture wires.
INSTALLATION (FIG. 3)
Hold mounting bracket (A) so the head of the ground screw is pointing down towards us. Hold threaded pipe so two hex nuts already attached to threaded pipe (E) are pointing down towards our. From the side of the mounting bracket with the ground screw head, screw the short end of the threaded pipe (E) into the hole in the center of the mounting bracket (A) until the hex nut on the threaded pipe (E) touches the mounting bracket. Thread hex nut (V) onto the end of the threaded pipe (E). Tighten hex nut (V) to secure threaded pipe (E) to mounting bracket (A).
Thread screw collar loop (W) onto end of threaded pipe pointing down towards our. Tighten the screw collar loop up against the hex nut on the threaded pipe (E).
lace mounting bracket (A) up against the junction box. Screw collar loop (E) should be pointing down towards Oor. Align each slot in mounting bracket (A) with each hole in the junction box. Thread one junction box screw (B) into each slot in the mounting bracket (A) and into holes in the junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to the junction box.
CAUTION: Make sure house wires are still easily accessible. DO NOT pinch wires between the mounting bracket and ceiling.
INSTALLATION (FIG. 4)
Strip 3/4” of insulation from the ends of fixture wires.

Connect Black or Red Supply Wire (Lead Wire) to:| Connect White Supply Wire (Neutral Wire) to:

When parallel wires are used, the neutral wire is ridged down its length and the other wire is round and smooth (see illus.).

Neutral Wire

Push mixture wires up through the hole in the screw collar loop (W) attached to the mounting bracket (A) and out-end of threaded pipe inside the junction box. Carefully pull texture wires so they are easily accessible to connect to house wires.
To aid in connecting fixture wires to house wires, temporarily connect the second locking link (G) to the link at the end of the chain (H) and to the screw collar loop (W).
Twist the end of the fixture white wire to the end of the house white wire together. Twist a wire nut onto the ends of the wires. Wrap electrical tape around the wire nut and wires to secure the connection. Twist the end of the texture black wire and the end of the house black wire together. Twist a wire nut onto the ends of the wires. Wrap electrical tape around the wire nut and wires to secure the connection. Loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Wrap house ground wire around ground screw leaving enough ground wire to attach to extra ground wire. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire to the end of the house ground wire together. Twist a wire nut onto the ends of the wires. Wrap electrical tape around the wire nut and wires to secure the connection.
NOTE: If you have electrical questions consult your local electrical code for approved grounding methods.
After the wires are connected, carefully tuck the wires inside the junction box.
Remove the second locking link (G) from the last link on
INSTALLATION (FIG. 5) chain (H) and screw collar loop (W).
Raise canopy (D) up to the ceiling. Pass hole in the canopy (D) over screw collar loop (W). Position canopy (D) up against the ceiling.
Raise threaded ring (F) up to canopy (D). Screw threaded ring (F) onto screw collar loop (W). Tighten threaded ring (F) to secure xture to ceiling.
Attach the second locking link (G) to the link at the end of a chain (H). Attach locking link (G) at the end of the chain (H) to loop on screw collar loop (W).
Screw recommended bulb (E26 Edison bulb type, not included) into a socket. Verify correct bulb wattage marked on the socket of xture.
WARNING: DO NOT exceed maximum bulb wattage.
