Installation

Control Hub

Connect the supplied Ethernet cable from the router to the Ethernet jack on the Control Hub.

Connect the AC Adapter to the DC IN Jack and the other end into a 120V/60Hz AC outlet.

Door/Window Sensor

A CR2032 battery has been pre-installed in the Door/Window Sensor for first time use. Apply the double-sided tape to the rear of both sections of the Door/Window sensor. Select a location on either a door or a window. Make sure to attach the smaller piece to the movable part of the door/window frame.

Siren

Remove back cover and insert the three screws as shown. It is recommended to install in a highly visible location with minimum obstacles. Insert four AA batteries (not included) into the back of the Siren or connect the AC Adapter to DC IN Jack and the other end into a 120V/60Hz AC outlet.

Place the unit back on the bracket.

*Insert the Power Switch into a 120V/60Hz AC outlet.

For first time use, it is recommended to turn ON each device as you pair them. Turning the unit ON activates the manual pairing mode.

Required Tools

Phillips head screwdriver or drill may be required for installation

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

ALC CONTROL APP

Download the ALC Connect App as follows:

  • APPLE IOS DEVICE:
    From your iPhone or iPad, go to the App Store and search for ALC Connect.

  • ANDROID DEVICE:
    From your Android smartphone or tablet device, go to Google Play and search for ALC Connect.

STATUS SCREEN

IMPORTANT: All accessories are paired with the Control Hub at the factory. See below to pair again or to add devices.

PAIRING THE CONTROL HUB

  1. Launch the previously installed ALC Connect App. At the next screen, tap Next, then tap Next again; The app will search for the Control Hub and retrieve the Control Hub DID automatically.
  2. The following screen will appear, enter the desired System Name and the security code. The default security code is 123456.
  3. If not on the Control Hub screen already, tap the Control Hub or System Name you gave on step 2 to enter the main Status screen.

CHANGING THE PASSWORD

  1. After pairing the hub, it is very important to change the password. To change, tap the Setting icon.
  2. Enter 123456, then tap Confirm.
  3. Tap Security Setup. At this screen you can change the Security Code and Admin Password. You can also enable/disable and set up a PIN Lock for the app once enabled; you will need to enter the PIN Lock code to enter the app. Tap Save when done.

PAIRING REMAINING DEVICES

  1.  The remaining devices are paired similar ways. The siren and power switch will be ready to pair upon plugging in. For the other devices, remove the Plastic Tab to enable the pairing.
  2. At the Status screen, tap +.
  3. Tap the desired device then tap Pair; the App will then search for and pair the selected device.
  4. Enter the device’s name and Location and then tap Save.

TROUBLE PAIRING?

If the devices do not pair properly, then utilize the manual Pairing as follows:

  • Door/Window Sensor: If it did not detect the sensor, pair manually by removing the battery for 5-10 seconds and then reinstall it (this will activate the manual pairing).
  • Motion Detector: If it did not detect the sensor, pair manually by removing the battery cover and then press the Pair button.
  • Remote Control: If it did not detect the Remote Control, press and hold the Armed Stay button on the Remote Control until the blue LED blinks.
  • Siren: If it did not detect the Siren and press the Pair button located inside the battery compartment.

BASIC OPERATION

  1. When first turning on the app you will enter the Control Hub (or System Name you gave) Selection window. Simply tap your Control Hub to enter.

  2. The Status screen will then appear. Click a device (except
    Door/Window Sensor) to set as follows:

    • Siren: Tap the Siren icon, then turn the Siren On or Off.
    • Remote Control: Tap the Remote Control icon and then an icon below to activate the respective function corresponding to the buttons on the remote control. Note that the button operation can be changed, see the owner’s manual.
  3. Power Switch (Available Separately): Tap the Power Switch icon, then turn the Power Switch On or Off.

  4. Camera (Available Separately): Tap the Camera. At this screen you can view the camera. Also tap the icons under the image to perform the following:

    • Snapshot: Tap to capture screen images. The snapshots will be saved into the camera roll of your mobile device.
    • Mute/Un-mute: Press to hear the sound of the camera’s microphone through the App. Tap again to mute the sound.
    • Record: Tap to record. Video records for about 1 minute.
      Note: A Micro SD Card (not included) is required to use the recording function on the camera. Insert to the side of the camera.

NOTE: Do not place any device near water. STRANGULATION HAZARD: Infants have STRANGLED in power cords.

STAY/AWAY ARMING THE SYSTEM

When on the Status page, tap to Arm/Partially disarm the system.

Select one of the following options:

  • Stay: Only arms the Door/Window sensors so you can stay at home.
  • Away: Arms all devices, including motion sensors if installed.

EMAIL/PUSH NOTIFICATIONS

  1. Tap the Setting icon on the bottom of the App to enter the Setting screen. Enter the Admin Password (default is 123456).
  2. Tap Notification Setup. At this screen you can disable/enable Email Notifications and/or Push Notifications. Also set an email address to send alerts to. Tap Save when done.

How does the ALC AHS613 Security System work?

After setting up the system and naming the sensors, you arm the system using the Remote Key Fob or the App. If a sensored door or window is opened, or motion is detected, notifications are sent to your smartphone or tablet. The ALC Connect Plus app will give you the option to call 911 immediately.

Can I add more sensors or devices to the system later on?
