MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES
CLEANING
Frequent cleaning is recommended to ensure proper function, optimized light
output, and an extend-ed life. The frequency of cleaning depends on the
environment that the device operates in: damp, smoky or particularly dirty
environments can cause greater accumulation of dirt on the mirrored sur-face.
Clean the external surface periodically with a soft, dry cloth to avoid
dirt/debris accumulation.
NEVER use alcohol, solvents, or ammonia-based cleaners.
MAINTENANCE
Regular inspections are recommended to ensure proper function and extended
life. There are no user serviceable parts inside these devices. Please refer
all other service issues to Eliminator Lighting. Should you need any spare
parts, please order genuine parts from Eliminator Lighting.
Please refer to the following points during routine inspections:
- Be sure all screws and fasteners are securely tightened at all times. Loose screws may fall out during normal operation, resulting in damage or injury as larger parts could fall.
- Check for any deformations on the mirrored ball, rigging hardware, and rigging points (ceiling, suspension, trussing. etc.) Damaged rigging points or unsecured rigging could cause the devices to fall and seriously injure a person(s).

INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
- The mirror ball unit includes two separate mounting eyelets. The eyelet located at the center of the top of the mirror ball should be used as the primary mounting point, while the eyelet located slightly off-center should be used as the secondary mounting point. Please refer to the Overview section of this manual.
- In order to safeguard against personal injury and material damage, both the primary mounting eyelet and the secondary mounting eyelet should be utilized.
- Mounting hardware (such as chains, safety cables, or carabiners) should be rated to support 12 times the weight of the unit. This applies to hardware attached to both the primary and secondary mounting eyelets.
- When installing the mirror ball in a rotating display, make sure to mount the mirror ball in such a way that the mounting cables or chains do not become tangled as the mirror ball rotates.
- Installation should NEVER be done using hardware constructed of an abrasive material, as this could lead to excessive wear on the mounting eyelets.
- Always ensure that the unit is firmly fixed to avoid vibration and slipping during operation.
- Always ensure that the structure to which you are attaching the unit is secure and is able to support at least 10 times the unit’s weight. Additionally, always use a safety cable that can hold 12 times the weight of the unit when installing the fixture.
- The equipment must be installed by a professional and it must be installed in a place where it is out of the reach of the general public.
- It is strongly advised that installation should be performed by multiple individuals, as the bulky nature of the unit may require two hands for support during installation.
- Always wear gloves when handling the mirror ball to avoid leaving fingerprints on the mirrors, and to protect yourself against broken mirror pieces.
- NEVER install a mirror ball with damaged mirror pieces, as these could come loose and fall during operation and cause serious injury!
SAFETY CABLE ATTACHMENT
Use of a secondary safety cable is required. To install, attach a safety cable
to the mirror ball eyelet and the motor safety eyelet or mounting fixture.
If installing to a mirror ball motor, power the motor on and confirm that the mirror ball is able to rotate free-ly and without obstruction.
