General safety instructions

DANGER: Danger of suffocation!

Improper use of this product may result in suffocation, especially for children. It is therefore imperative that you observe the following safety information.

  • Keep packaging materials (plastic bags, rubber bands, etc.) away from children! There is a danger of choking!
  • This product contains small parts that can be swallowed by children! Choking hazard!

  • This device contains components and/or accessories that can cause minor or serious body injury if used improperly. It is therefore essential that you observe the following safety information in order to prevent body injuries.
  • Fragment to bruises

NOTICE: Danger of material damage!

Improper handling may result in damage to the unit and/or accessories. Therefore, use the device only in accordance with the following safety information. Fragment to poorly anchored accessories – danger of falling down

  • Do not disassemble the device! In the event of a defect, please contact the after sales support number listed below.
  • Do not expose the components to direct sunlight for a longer time.

Warning: Property damage due to excessive weight

  • When attaching accessories/attachment parts, take care of the maximum permissible weight capacity!
  • Excessive weight of an accessory/attachment part can lead to material fatigue or yielding of load-bearing elements. This can cause irreparable consequential damage to parts/devices.

NOTICE: Secure accessories during assembly

  • Always secure the attachment to be mounted (camera, spotting scope, etc.) with one hand during mounting until it is firmly mounted! Falling down can cause irreparable damage to the attachment.

NOTICE: Tighten locking screws/rings only by hand.

  • Tighten locking screws/rings only by hand. Rings and threads can break when overtighten them!

NOTICE: Cleaning after to contamination and humidity

  • Clean the device completely after contamination and always dry it well if it has come into contact with moisture.

Scope of delivery

  • Tilt head (A) with tripod head adapter (10) and quick-release plate (14), tripod base (B)

Setting up the tripod

  1. Slowly pull out the tripod legs until the tripod spider is fully open.
  2. Slightly open the locking screws for the lower and upper tripod legs one after the other.
  3. Extend the lower and upper tripod legs to the desired height. Make sure that the air bubble of the circular level is centered in the circle to ensure a level stand. If necessary, readjust the tripod legs.
  4. Tighten the locking screws for the tripod legs again.
  5. Screw the tripod head adapter clockwise into the tripod head holder.
  6. Tighten the three Allen screws on the stand head adapter with a suitable Allen wrench*.
  7. Screw the tripod head clockwise into the tripod head adapter.

Using the quick-release plate

Sliding out/in and moving the quick-release plate

  • The quick-release plate allows shifting within the guide rail for +/- 20 mm. This allows the photo equipment to be optimally balanced on the tilt head.
  • Pull out the locking lever on the side to release the lock for the quick-release plate.
  • Move the quick-release plate to the desired position.
  • To pull out or push in the quick-release plate completely, press the fixing button at the same time.

Attaching photo equipment to the quick release plate

  • The quick-release plate can be mounted on the bottom of photo equipment (e.g. photo/video camera, light) with 3/8″ or 1/4″ inner thread.
  • Pull the quick-release plate completely out of the guide rail. (see above for more info)
  • Screw the matching threaded screw of the quick-release plate into the inner thread of the photo equipment.
  • Push the quick-release plate with the mounted photo equipment back into the guide rail. (see above for more info)

Tilting or slewing the tripod head

  1. The tilt head can be moved in different directions. Loosen the tilt locking knob to tilt the tilt head forward by up to 90° or backward by 70° using the handle.
  2. Loosen the horizontal movement locking lever to move the tilt head to the right or to the left (fullround/ 360° movement).

NOTICE:  For an individual adjustment of the guide handle, the position of the guide rod can be changed. (for more information, see section “Changing the position of the guide rod”).

Changing the position of the tracking rod

The position of the handle can be adjusted to suit the user.

  1. Pull out the locking lever for the tracking rod to release the lock.
  2. Move the tracking rod up or down to the desired position using the handle.
  3. Push the locking lever back in to fix the tracking rod in the desired position.

Cleaning

NOTICE: Cleaning after to contamination and humidity

  • Clean the device completely after contamination and always dry it well if it has come into contact with moisture.
  • Do not use organic solvents (e.g. alcohol, ether, acetone, xylol or other dilutions) to clean lacquered parts or plastic parts!

Disposal

  • Dispose of the packaging materials according to its type. Information on proper disposal can be obtained from the municipal waste disposal service provider or environmental agency.

Warranty

  • The regular warranty period is 2 years and starts on the day of purchase. To benefit from an extended voluntary warranty period as indicated on the gift box, registration on our website is required.
