INSTALLATION
- Designed for indoor and outdoor use, 120V preassembled heating cables for pipe freeze protection help to prevent damage from winter weather.
- Approved for residential, commercial and industrial installations, it must be plugged into a 120V outlet fitted with a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI). The cable allows for moderate bends (minimum bend radius of 5/16 in. (8 mm)).
- For optimal performance, the cable must be installed flat on a metallic or non-metallic pipe and covered with insulation no more than 1/2 in. thick (13 mm).
PEACE OF MIND
- The cable is fitted with a built-in bimetallic thermostat that activates the cable when the temperature falls below 4 °C (40 °F) and a grounded 3-pronged plug with an indi-cator light to show when the cable is powered on.
- Once the cable has been installed and powered on, no further action is required throughout the winter season!
