About
This manual describes the proper use of the Bike Finder tracker and all accessories. Make sure to read this before installation and activation of the tracker. Ensure that all warnings are read and understood before use.

Limitations and warranty

General Safety precautions

  • Do not bend tracker more than 45 degrees
  • Do not insert tools or pointy objects, other than those included, into USB socket or other openings in the tracker
  • Do not open or tamper with any internal components
  • Do not expose the tracker to water submersion or highpressure water jets
  • Do not drop tracker onto hard surfaces or expose it to highenergy impacts
  • Keep power bank and USB-cable away from moisture
  • Keep tracker and accessories away from high pressure places, potentially explosive atmospheres and extreme temperature conditions (below -20 °C or higher than 45 °C)
  • Keep away from medical electronic equipment
  • When charging: use only included power bank

Installation steps

  1. Charge the tracker
    Remove USB cover and insert USB cable. A sound will come from the tracker, letting you know that it has started up.

  3. Lock the tracker in place
    Fasten the screws using the tool. Tighten the two screws evenly until tracker is locked in place.bikefinder BFG1S GPS Bike Tracker - fig
5 Note: The expansion mechanism can damage the interior of the handlebar.
    Tip: Recheck the fastening periodically.

  4. Plug in USB cover
    Plug in USB cover during normal use.

  5. Download the app
    The BikeFinder app lets you see the location of your bike at any time and choose beteen different settings.
    You can download the app from the App Store and Google Play.
    First you must register using your e-mail and pair the device using the app (see step 6). The app will guide you through the necessary steps.
    When your device is paired and activated you can choose from numerous settings in the app.

  6. Activation of the tracker
    To activate your BikeFinder tracker you must follow the following procedure:

  7. Make sure you buy a subscription on the same account (email) as you are using to log into your app on the phone or tablet

  8. Open the app

  9. Connect your tracker to your account via Bluetooth

  10. The app will prompt you for activation of the tracker

This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. End user must follow the specific operating instructions for satisfying RF exposure compliance. This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
The equipment is designed to meet the requirements for exposure to radio waves established by the Federal Communications
Commission (USA). These requirements set a SAR limit of 4W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. The highest SAR value reported under this standard during product certification for use when properly worn on the body is 3.442w/kg.
For body operation, this device has been tested and meets FCC RF exposure guidelines when used with any accessory that contains no metal and that positions a minimum of 15mm from the body. Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance with FCC RF exposure guidelines.

CE WARNING STATEMENT

The device is designed to meet the requirements for exposure to radio waves established by the European Union. These requirements set a SAR limit of 4.0 W/kg averaged over ten gram of tissue when use in Limbs. This product was tested and recorded the maximum reported SAR value was 2.434W/kg for Limbs.

20mm+ handlebar adapter set
Use the adapter set on handlebars with inner diameter larger than 20mm.bikefinder BFG1S GPS Bike Tracker - fig 9Expansion mechanism adapter installation:

  1. Remove the two expansion bolts using the screwdriver tool provided in the box
  2. Mount the two expansion adapters and reinstall the expansion bolts

Silicone spacer installation:

  1. Slide the silicone spacer into the device until the spacer is located as shown to the right

10 Function descriptions

  1. The lights on/off indicate the USB output ports on/off states
  2. The 4 lights are also the remaining battery level indicator, it represents battery level 25% – 50% – 75% – 99%
  3. The lights will be flashing when the power bank is under charging
  4. The power bank will be automatically turned on when the output port detects a rechargeable device, and it will be automatically turned off approximately 40 seconds after the rechargeable device is removed
  5. The power bank can also be turned on/off manually. Press the switch button once to turn it on, and press it twice to turn it off
  6. The power bank supports charging of on both of its output ports at the same time, however, the max charging current of each ports will be limited to 1A

Notes:

  1. If charging other devices than the BikeFinder with the power bank, use the USB cable supplied with the device you are about to charge. This is to ensure compatibility

Tips:

  1. There is a hole on the upper right corner of the power bank, you may attach a lanyard to the hole and hang it on your bike while charging
