Roof King Gold Platinum
Product Information
The product is a roof mount bracket for installing a basketball
backboard system on a garage or roof. It is designed to adjust to
fit any slope roof and ensure a secure installation. The bracket is
assembled using a triangular frame and telescoping adjuster tubes.
The package includes lag screws for securing the frame to the roof
and set screws for locking the adjuster tubes in place. The
backboard carton contains the backboard and a heavy steel mounting
bracket.
Product Usage Instructions
-
Open the roof mount bracket carton and remove the bracket. Open
the frame into a triangular shape and slide the smaller square tube
inside the larger square tube. These can slide up and down to
adjust the angle of the bracket to fit any slope roof. Place the
10mm x 3cm set screws in the middle hole of the telescoping bracket
and hand tighten. The bracket is now assembled. -
Place the mounting frame at the desired location on the garage
or roof, ensuring that the front of the frame is flush with eave or
gutters. Fasten the frame to the roof by first drilling pilot holes
with a 1/8 drill bit, then securing it with the 10mm x 5cm lag
screws provided. Use blocking as needed. Snug lag screws but do not
over tighten! Apply 100% silicone black color sealant liberally
over each lag screw after installation is complete to keep tools
and installer clean. For the rear three holes on the roof bracket,
use the 4-inch long through bolts. Drill a 1/4 pilot hole for them
and secure from the other side of the roof. -
Place a level on each side of the front of the frame to ensure
levelness, then tighten the set screws from step 1 to lock the
telescoping adjuster tubes. Do not over tighten these! -
The backboard carton contains the backboard and a heavy steel
mounting bracket already installed. Follow the provided
instructions for attaching the backboard to the bracket. -
Ensure all bolts and nuts are secured properly.
-
Every 6 months, check the system to make sure it is still
structurally sound and securely attached to the roof. Replace
silicone if necessary. If replacement parts are needed, contact Pro
Dunk at 1.888.600.8545.

now assembled.
2. Place the mounting frame at the desired location on the garage or roof top

IMPORTANT: It is very important to insert the 4 steel/plastic spacers into the backboard rim holes prior to installing the rim. Failure to do this will cause failure of the backboard. Attach the rim using the hardware included in the rim carton. Make sure rim is level on backboard and tighten all fasteners. Use at least [4] bolts (provided) to attach this steel frame to the roof mount frame. Do not tighten these bolts yet. Have a helper go onto the roof behind the bracket and tighten all four of these bolts when the backboard is raised by two people on two ladders from the front to 10′ height. If you need to level the backboard loosen two bolts on one side and lift that side of the backboard until it is level and then tighten the two bolts.
5. Ensure all bolts and nuts are secured. Enjoy!
