-
The machine must neither be wet, nor be used in humid ambient conditions.
-
Do not use the tool for mixing materials either in danger of explosion (petrol, diluent).
-
Modifications of the tool are prohibited.
-
Always check the tool, cable and plug before use. Have damages only repaired by specialists. Only insert the plug into the socket when the tool switch is OFF.
-
Ensure a safe state of the machine.
-
When the machine runs outside, always use a protection switch (30 mA max.) against fault current.
-
The machine should only run under supervision of somebody.
-
Pull the plug and switch the machine off if it is not under supervision, e.g. in case of setting up and stripping down the machine, in case of voltage drop or when fixing or mounting an accessory.
-
Switch the machine off if it stops for whatever reason. This way, you avoid that it starts suddenly and not under supervision.

Assembly of the Device
- The mixing station is delivered nearly ready for operation. Only the handlebar of the transport trolley must be installed. For this, insert the handlebar into the two pipe ends of the trolley and secure it with the provided bolts and nuts.
Transport of the Device
- The mixing station can be transported easily complete with the transport trolley or also without the trolley.
- With the transport trolley, use the handlebar to raise the unit in closed condition. Without the transport trolley, hold the two handles (3) and tilt the unit to the rear.
Electrical Connection
- Before starting the machine check the correspondence between voltage and frequency according to the data mentioned on the identification plate.
- Voltage differences from + 6 % and – 10 % are allowed.
- The TwinMix 1800 T is made in protection class I.
- Only use extension cables with a sufficient cross-section. A cross-section (min. 2.5 mm²) which is too small could lead to an excessive power loss and to an overheating of motor and cable.
Use
Preselection of the speed:
- The speed can be set in two stages. The switch (12) for this is located on the motor.
- Stage I = 20/250 rpm
- Stage II = 36/450 rpm
- Mixing in continuous operation always should be done at stage II to provide sufficient cooling air to the motor.
Power On / Off:
- For power ON, the mixing unit must be lowered completely and the slide must be locked.
- For power ON, switch the switch (11) up (ON). For power OFF, switch the switch (11) down (OFF).
Moving the mixing unit in and out:
- The slide is locked automatically in each end position.
- This means when the mixing unit has been moved completely into the bucket as well as when it has been moved out completely for removal of the bucket car.
- The locking knob (7) must be pulled out to move the mixing unit in or out.
- Always check that the slide is locked securely in the respective position.
Prepare mixing as follows:
- Start the mixing station always in empty condition or only filled with water. Always fill with water first. Fill the mixing material through the feed chute (2) while the machine is running.
- We recommend the use of speed stage I to start mixing and switching to stage II when all components have been filled in.
- For mixing with little dust, a vacuum cleaner (Dust class M) is connected to the corresponding connection nozzle (6).
- Observe the processing directives of the material manufacturers.
- For mixing of low-viscous materials (e.g. self-flowing levelling compounds), the supplied wiper must be attached to the mixing paddle. The wiper prevents that mixing material remains sticking to the bucket edge.
- The wiper should be removed for mixing of coarse-grained materials (e.g. screed).
IMPORTANT!
- The use of chemical products or solvents can impair the properties of the mixing bucket and the machine.
- Before using the TwinMix 1800, check that the products to be mixed are compatible with the properties of the machine.
Removing the Mixing Bucket
- Turn the machine off and wait until the stirrers have stopped.
- Move the complete mixing unit out of the button, until the slide locks at the end position.
- Move the bucket car out of the mixing station.
CAUTION!
- Do not lift full mixing buckets alone from the bucket car!
Tool Protection
- Wrong handling can cause damages on the tool. Therefore, please always observe the following instructions:
- Do not stress the tool to such an extend that it stops by itself.
Electronic:
- In case of overload due to too large feed force, the electronic will cut OFF the machine. After discharge and switching ON you can continue drilling again.
Tool Change
Attention!
- Before any work on the tool, disconnect the plug from the mains! When inserting the tool, you could catch your hands. For this reason, always wear protective gloves for changing the tool.
- For tool change, you can tilt the TwinMix 1800 T to the rear and can rest it on the handles (3).
Universal stirrer (A):
- For change of the stirrer (9), the two fixing bolts must be loosened from the mixing paddle (10).
- Use a spanner SW 22 to loosen the stirrer (9) and to lock the work spindle.
Mixing paddle (B):
- The stirrer (9) always must be removed first for change of the mixing paddle (10).
- For change of the mixing paddle (10), use an Allen key SW6 to loosen the two cheese-head screws M8x20.
Care and Maintenance
- Before the beginning of maintenance or repair works you have to disconnect the plug from the mains.
- Repairs may be executed only by appropriately qualified and experienced personnel. After every repair the machine has to be inspected by an electric specialist. Due to its design, the machine needs a minimum of care and maintenance. However, the following points always have to be observed:
- Keep the machine and the controls clean and functional.
- To clean the mixing tools, tilt the mixing station to the rear and rest it on the handles (3). Take care that no water enters into the motor during cleaning.
- Always keep the power tool and the ventilation slots clean.
- During work, please pay attention that no particles get inside the machine.
- Use only the original mixing bucket from Eibenstock as replacement for a worn mixing bucket. Correct function is guaranteed only with this mixing bucket.
- In case of failure, a repair has to be carried out by an authorised service workshop.
- Our after-sales service responds to your questions concerning maintenance and repair of your product as well as spare parts. EIBENSTOCK’s application service team will gladly answer questions concerning our products and their accessories.
