Product
- Reed switch sensor;
- Magnet;
- Reed switch protection cover;
- Terminal for cable connection;
- Screw hole for attaching.
Installation
-
Remove the protective cover from the reed switch by pulling up.
-
Use the screw holes to fix the reed switch and the magnet or, if you prefer, use the double-sided tape that comes with the product.
Note: in case of using double-sided tape, it is recommended that the surface is clean and free of porosity for better adhesion. -
Attach the magnet to the moving part and the reed switch to the attached part of the structure.
-
Check that the distance from the GAP is within the specified, to avoid unwanted triggering in case of any vibration in the structure where the sensor is installed.
-
Maximum GAP: 25 mm ± 10%
-
Security gap: ≤ 15 mm ± 10%
-
Always use the lowest GAP possible
-
Pass the cable through the opening located on the reed switch. This prevents the cable from interfering with the closing of the protective cover.
-
Connect the cable to the terminals of the reed switch and the entrance to the zone of the control panel, as shown in the following image:
-
After installation, put on the protective cover of the reed switch and check that when moving the magnet away from the reed switch, the alarm panel goes off indicating that there was tampering. If necessary, adjust the position of the sensor.
