Using Orbit Software
-
Click on Start setup to initiate the setup process.
-
Ensure that the connection status on the screen reads Connect before proceeding. If it displays Disconnect, insert the USB correctly to change it to Connect. If the connection changes during setup, take note that you can continue where you left off once the connection is restored.
-
On the “Choose your setup” screen, choose forklift-to-forklift, forklift-to-pedestrian, or both.
Click Unit Settings to select imperial or metric units and proceed by clicking Next.
-
On the “Choose your range” screen, you will see the preset ranges for the danger, caution, and safe zone alerts. You can choose one of the default sets of ranges (high, medium, or low) or customize your parameters. To do so, click Customize, and you will be redirected to a new page where you can enter your desired parameters. This excludes the gray range, as it is calculated automatically based on the parameters you have set for the red and yellow ranges. To enter your desired parameters, you will first need to select New Custom from the dropdown menu and then fill in the boxes for the red and yellow areas. If you chose only the forklift-to-forklift or forklift-to-pedestrian setup, enter the desired alert ranges accordingly.
If you chose both, set parameters for both instances. Once you have entered your parameters, click New Custom on the dropdown menu. Name your custom setting in the pop-up screen, click Save and then Next to proceed.
-
When you reach the “Choose forklift alarm level” screen, choose the desired audio level for your alarm. If your setup choice included forklift-to-pedestrian, also choose if you want to turn on tag vibration and click Next to proceed.
