  2. The connection of the P850 Power Optimizers with a manufacturing date after WW0620 with any PV module up to 440W that has an Isc value between 14.1A to 14.5A in 2:1 (total up to 880W).
  3. The manufacturing date is indicated in the product Serial Number, for example, SJ5122xxxxxxxxx-xx indicates that the Inverter was manufactured in WW51 2022.
  4. The approved designs are as follows:
Inverter SE16K SE17K SE20K SE25K* SE27.6K* SE30K* SE33.3K*
Modules with 54 cells (or 108 half-cells) 1 31 1 31 2 27 2
2 35 3 27
Modules with 60 cells (or 120 half-cells) 1 29 1 29 2 27 2
2 32 3 27

Note: When connected to a higher number of strings per inverter,
The minimum number of modules per string is 27. The rest of the installation guidelines, Inverter, and Power Optimizer’s performance remain as stated in the SolarEdge specifications and installation documents. Confidential

Product Usage Instructions
To use the SolarEdge product with the approved waiver, follow these instructions:

  1. Ensure that the installation is done in Europe (including the UK) and is commissioned by the end of December 2023.
  2. Connect the P850 Power Optimizers with a manufacturing date after WW0620 to any PV module up to 440W with an Isc value between 14.1A to 14.5A in a 2:1 configuration (total up to 880W).
  3. Check the manufacturing date indicated in the product Serial Number. For example, if the Serial Number is SJ5122xxxxxxxxx-xx, it means the Inverter was manufactured in WW51 2022.
  4. Choose the appropriate Inverter from the approved designs based on the number of cells or half-cells in your modules.
  5. For modules with 54 cells (or 108 half-cells), connect the minimum number of modules per string as listed in the table above.
  6. For modules with 60 cells (or 120 half-cells), connect the minimum number of modules per string as listed in the table above.
  7. If connecting a higher number of strings per inverter, ensure that each string has a minimum of 27 modules.
  8. Follow the installation guidelines and refer to the SolarEdge specifications and installation documents for performance details of the Inverter and Power Optimizer.

Note : To maintain the warranty, the installed sites must be connected to the SolarEdge monitoring, and their site IDs should be reported to [email protected] within 3 weeks from installation. Failure to report the site will void this waiver. For further assistance or inquiries, please contact Ido Ginodi, VP of Product at SolarEdge. l

Dear Installer
Upon examining your waiver request, SolarEdge decided to approve it under the following conditions:

  • This approval is limited only to installations done in Europe (including the UK) that are commissioned by the end of December 2023.
  • The connection of the P850 Power Optimizers with a manufacturing date after WW0620 with any PV module up to 440W that has an Isc value between 14.1A to 14.5A in 2:1 (total up to 880W).
  • The manufacturing date is indicated in the product Serial Number, for example SJ5122-xxxxxxxxx-xx indicated that the Inverter was manufactured in WW51 2022.
  • The approved designs are as follows:
  • For modules with 54 cells (or 108 half-cells):
    • Regarding the above tables, when connected to a higher number of strings per inverter, the minimum number of modules per string is 27.
    • For modules with 72 cells or more – all regular configurations are allowed.
    • The rest of the installation guidelines, Inverter, and Power Optimizer’s performance remain as stated in the SolarEdge specifications and installation documents.

SolarEdge approves that the designs mentioned above, though exceeding the Power Optimizer’s maximum Rated Input DC Power (up to 880W vs. 850W) and maximum Isc current limit (up to 14.5A vs. 14.1A), will not void the Power Optimizer or Inverter warranty. The sites must be connected to the SolarEdge monitoring, and site IDs should be reported to [email protected] within 3 weeks from installation. Failing to report the site will void this waiver.
