MyWeigh WP6K Waterproof Bench Scale

Thank you for purchasing the My Weigh® WP6K'”, the first fully waterproof digital scale from My Weigh. Please read all operating instructions carefully before use. This electronic scale is a precision instrument. With normal care and proper treatment, it will provide years of reliable service. For more information please visit www.myweigh.com

Never load the scale with more than the maximum capacity. Although the WP6K™ is designed to be extremely durable with extra overload protection built into the case, overloading will permanently damage it! Avoid any exposure to extreme heat or cold, your scale works better when operated at normal room temperature. Keep your scale in a clean environment. Dust, dirt, moisture, vibration, air currents and/or a close proximity to other electronic equipment can all cause an adverse effect on the reliability and accuracy of your scale. Handle with care. Gently apply all items to be weighed onto tray top. Avoid shaking, dropping or otherwise shocking the scale. Scales are delicate instruments and unlike cellular phones, scales have delicate sensors that determine how much an item weighs. If you drop or shock your scale, these sensors “feel”the shock and are sometimes destroyed. This happens with all digital scales. We design our scales to be as resistant to shock or drops as possible, however there is no way for us to protect 100% against load cell or sensor damage.

Failure to follow these instructions will void your warranty.
Always allow the scale to acclimate to normal room temperature for at least one hour before use. Give your scale sufficient warm up time. Usually 30-60 seconds before calibration to give the internal components a chance to stabilize.

PRECAUTIONS BEFORE USING THE BALANCE

1. Matter charged with static electricity can affect accuracy. Discharge all static electricity. For example, one method is to use Static-Guard spray, and spray it on both sides of the weighing platform.
2. The balance must be in an exact horizontal position in order to achieve accurate measurement results. In order to bring the balance into a horizontal position, the adjustable feet are turned either clockwise or counter-clockwise until the air bubble on the front panel is in the center of the marked circle.
3. Please use an independent power outlet to avoid interference from other electrical appliances.
4. Do not put any objects on the platform before powering on.
5. When possible please allow the scale to warm up for several minutes before operation.
6. Items should always be placed on the center of the platform when being weighed.
7. For optimum accuracy, recalibrate before each use.

POWER SUPPLY
The WP6K'” is powered by a rechargeable battery or directly by 8.3V power adapter.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

Weighing Procedures

1. Place the scale on a flat hard surface.
2. Press [ON/ZERO] to turn on the scale.
3. To change the unit setting:
   • Enter the settings mode by pressing [SET/0-9] for 5 seconds.
   • Next press [SET/0-9] to toggle through the settings until “units” is displayed and press [TARE]
   • Press [SET/0-9] to to toggle through the available weighing modes: kg, g, lb, lb:oz, pcs.
   • Press [TARE] to conirm and return to weighing mode.
4. Gently place the items to be weighed on the scale platform.
   Note: The scale will always start up on the last used weighing mode

Counting

1. Press and hold [SET/0-9] for 5 seconds to enter the settings mode.
2. Next press [SET/0-9] to toggle through the settings until “units” is displayed and press [TARE]
3. Next press [SET/0-9] to toggle through the settings until “pcs”is displayed and press [TARE].
4. Press and hold [ON/ZERO] for 5 seconds until the display shows “count” then “O”
5. Next place the items you want counted on the tray and press [TARE]
6. The display will show “00000”. This is where you input the required sample size e.g 20=00020.
7. Use [TARE] to cycle through the zeros and use [SET/0-9] to adjust the selected digit.
8. Confirm the selection by cycling through to the final digit and press [TARE].

Note : Please set a minimum in ital sample size of 20- This will ensure the most accurate reading.

Tare
Tare can be used for eliminating the weight value of an empty container. Place an empty container on the scale and press [TARE]. Then place the items to be weighed in the container. NOTE: When all weight is removed from the weighing tray, the tared value of a container will be displayed as a negative number. Press [TARE] again to return the scale to zero.

CALIBRATION
When to calibrate – calibration is recommended for best results. Calibration may be required when the scale is first set up for use, or if the scale is moved to a different altitude or new location. This is necessary because the weight of a mass in one location is not necessarily the same in another location. Also, with time and use, mechanical deviations can occur.

How to calibrate: you must have an accurate 6kg weight or combination of weights in order to calibrate**

1. There is an adjust switch under the scale which you wil have to turn on. Unscrew the compartment and turn the switch on.
2. Next turn the scale on with [ON/ZERO] and wait for the display to show”O”.
3. Press and hold “TARE”for 3 seconds and the display will show”CAt:’then”O”.
4. Press [TARE] and the display will show the correct calibration weight”6000g”.
5. Gently place the correct calibration weight on the platform, wait for 5 seconds and press [TARE].
6. Calibration is complete when the display shows “CAEnd”. Turn off the adjust switch and return to normal weighing mode.

FEATURES

Weight Response Speed Setting
The WP6K allows you to adjust the scale reaction time.

1. Press and hold [SET/0-9] for 5 seconds to enter the settings mode.
2. Next press [SET/0-9] to toggle through the settings until “Flltx”is displayed and press [TARE].
3. Press [SET/0-9] / [ON/ZERO] to toggle the settings (Flltl =Fast, Fllt2=Slow) and [TARE] to confirm.

Auto Zero Setting
The WP6K allows you to adjust the scale sensitivity by adjusting the divison setting.

1. Press and hold [SET/0-9] for 5 seconds to enter the settings mode.
2. Next press [SET/0-9] to toggle through the settings until “ZEro” is displayed and press [TARE].
3. Press [SET/0-9] to toggle the settings 0.5d, 1 d, 1 .5d,2d,2.5d,3d,3.5d,4d,4.5d,5d and press [TARE] to confirm.

Divison Setting
The WP6K allows you to change the divison 0.5g/1 g/2g.

1. Press and hold [SET/0-9] for 5 seconds to enter the settings mode.
2. Next press [SET/0-9] to toggle through the settings until “d” is displayed and press [TARE].
3. Press [SET/0-9] to toggle the settings 0.5=0.5g, 1 = 1 g, 2=2g and press [TARE] to confirm.

Range Setting
The WP6K allows you to setup a target range weight.

1. Press and hold [SET/0-9] for 5 seconds to enter the settings mode.
2. Next press [SET/0-9] to toggle through the settings until “rAngE” is displayed and press [TARE].
3. Toggle the setting on/off by pressing [SET/0-9] and press [TARE] to confirm.
4. Now add your minimum limit; use [TARE] to cycle through the zeros and use [SET/0-9] to adjustthe selected digit e.g 500=00500 and press [TARE] to confirm.
5. Now add your maximum limit; use [TARE] to cycle through the zeros and use [SET/0-9] to adjust the selected digit e.g 5000=05000 and press [TARE] to confirm.
6. Now place your weight on the platform. If the weight is between the minimum and maximum range the scale will indicate
   “accept”. If the weight is under or over the range it will indcate “over”/ “under”.

LED Backlight Setting
To adjust the backlight brigthness:

1. Turn the scale on (make sure scale is NOT in pcs/counting mode) and press and hold [ZERO/ON] until the display shows”LU”.
2. Press [SET/0-9] to toggle the brightness settings LU-0= LOW – LU-3= HI and press [TARE] to confirm.

Single or Dual Display Setting
To choose single or dual display:

1. Press and hold [SET/0-9] for 5 seconds to enter the settings mode.
2. Next press [SET/0-9] to toggle through the settings until “d-dP”is displayed and press [TARE].
3. Next press [SET/0-9] to choose”n”=single display or”y”=dual display and press [TARE] to confirm.

Buzzer Setting
The buzzer works with the Range Setting. To turn buzzer on or off:

1. Press and hold [SET/0-9] for 5 seconds to enter the settings mode.
2. Next press [SET/0-9] to toggle through the settings until “bUZZer” is displayed and press [TARE]
3. Next press [SET/0-9] to choose on or off, then press [TARE] to confrim.
