Device Overview
The A-200 Premium 1.5 Pkt Currency Scanner is a device designed for scanning
and counting mixed currencies.
Understanding the Start-up Screen
The start-up screen displays various information and functions of the device.
Here is a breakdown of the displayed elements:

User Interface / Configuring Modes
The device provides various buttons and modes for user configuration. The
available buttons and their functions are as follows:
- MODE: Change the processing mode
- BATCH: Set the batch quantity
- DATA: Access data settings
- MENU: Open the main menu
- PRINT: Print the counting results
- SET: Access additional settings
- ADD: Enable/disable addition counting mode
- CLEAR: Clear the current count

NOTICE
Improper voltage levels can cause equipment malfunction, damage electrical
components, and void warranty. Provide separate circuit serving only this
device and follow listed power requirements to ensure proper operation.
Provide power conditioning/stabilizing devices if necessary.

- The screen configuration may differ depending on the program version or system setting status.

CA-200 Operating Modes
MODE | DESCRIPTION |
---|---|
DENOM AUTO | Scans for the first denomination processed (target) and |
diverts all other denominations to the reject pocket. A grand total is
provided.
DENOM MIXED| Scans all denominations without presorting. A grand total
by denomination is provided.
FREE| Counts any type of media that complies with document size and
density-setting specifications. This mode only counts pieces; document
scanning does not occur.
ORIENT| Only the banknotes in the same direction as the first inserted
ones are loaded in the pocket (A+C or B+D), and the banknotes loaded on the
other side are loaded into the reject pocket.
DIRECTION| Recognizes both the direction and the face of the banknote
and loads only the banknotes in the same direction and face as the first
banknote (A, B, C, D respectively), and the rest are sent to the reject
pocket.
FACE| When FACE is selected in addition to AUTO or MIX mode, the machine
diverts non-faced notes to the reject pocket. The first note processed
determines the facing.
Multiple Currencies
The CA-200 Currency scanner is equipped to scan and count multiple currencies at the same time. It also comes equipped with a currency package that includes the following currencies: CAD, USD, GBP, EURO, MXN. There are additional currencies available, contact us with your requirements.
Modes for Scanning & Counting Mixed Currencies
MODE = [Auto]:
The machine automatically recognizes and processes the denomination.
If a bundle of banknotes mixed with several currencies is loaded in the
hopper, only the first currency is counted, and the other currencies are
rejected.
MODE = [Mix]:
Only the designated ones among several currencies are loaded in the set
pocket.
If a bundle of banknotes mixed with several currencies is loaded in the
hopper, only a certain currency is loaded in the pocket preset by the user.
Only one currency can be loaded in each pocket.
Pocket setting is available for currency as well as for each denomination. Ex)
If pocket 1 is set to USD, USD $1 to $100 are all loaded in pocket 1.
Daily Cleaning & Care
While the product is in use, foreign matter such as dust and pieces of
banknote will accumulate inside the machine and may affect the operation of
the device. It is recommended that you perform cleaning procedures daily to
prevent abnormal operation or malfunction.
ALL CLEANING SHOULD BE PERFORMED WITH A DRY CLOTH, COMPRESSED AIR AND A SMALL
BRUSH.
DO NOT USE ANY CHEMICALS! AS YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE MACHINE.
Perform the following measures before inspection or cleaning.
- Ensure the counter is powered off, to prevent risk of electric shock or injury.
- Also confirm that all motors, belts, and rollers have stopped moving.
- Take care not to close the cover too strongly as the device may be damaged.
Hopper Cleaning
- Brush off the dust accumulated in the hopper with a soft brush.
- If the feed roller is contaminated, clean the roller.
Stacker Cleaning
- Remove dirt from the stacker and reject pocket.
Rear Scanner Unit Cleaning

Using the green lever, open the cover on the back of the product to check the inside of the rear scanner unit.

Using compressed air, and or a soft brush, carefully remove any dust from the of the CIS sensors.
-
With compressed air, remove dust from the sensor surface.
-
If there is dust present in the groove of the UV sensor, remove it using compressed air.
-
If the rollers are dirty, clean the rollers using the cleaning products recommended later in this guide.
Note Path Cleaning
-
Using the green button, open the cover on the rear of the counter to check the feed path. If dust is present, blow it out using compressed air.
-
Remove dust from the surface of the Path/Gate Sensor and Reject Count Sensor using compressed air.
Empty Dust Tray
- The dust tray is located on the bottom of the device. Remove the dust tray by carefully pulling it forward.
- Empty the dust tray, insert the tab into the pocket and carefully snap back into place.
Recommended Cleaning Materials
- Daily cleaning is recommended to ensure maximum productivity and reliability.
- Simple Green, the recommended cleaning agent, can be an eye irritant. Avoid eye contact. If eye contact occurs, flush eye(s) with cool water for 5 minutes – remove contact lenses if
- present – continue flushing eye(s) with cool water for 15 more minutes. If irritation persists, consult physician.
- Individuals with sensitive skin should rinse hands after using.
- Simple Green Safety Towels.
- A pre-moistened microfiber towel also may be used.
- If using Simple Green concentrate, dilute to 1 ounce of Simple Green per 8 ounces of water.

- During daily cleaning there is always a risk of injury if proper cleaning procedures are not followed. Due to high voltage inside the machine and a risk of electric shock,
- ALWAYS turn power OFF and unplug power cord from machine before cleaning.
- To avoid machine/component damage and potential voiding of existing warranty, follow these procedures: Only use specified tools for cleaning machine. Never use metal tools.
- DO NOT use cleaners containing ammonia. Ammonia may remove labels from machine!
- DO NOT spray cleaners directly on machine components!
