Product Usage Instructions

To properly use the White-Rodgers Universal Replacement Mercury-Free Mechanical Thermostats, please follow these instructions:

Installation:

1. Select the appropriate model based on your heating and cooling system requirements.
2. If necessary, use the included 3-Wire Zone Mounting Plate for installation.
3. Refer to the terminal designations provided below to connect the thermostat to your system.
4. Ensure proper power supply connections for both heating and cooling.
5. If using the thermostat for limited range applications, use the Limited Range Stop Kit (92-0563) as instructed.
6. Mount the thermostat on the wall plate or subbase securely.

Usage:

Once the thermostat is installed, you can use it to control your heating and cooling system. Follow these steps:

1. Set the desired temperature using the temperature control dial or buttons on the thermostat.
2. For heating, make sure the power (heating) terminal is properly connected to your furnace.
3. For cooling, make sure the power (cooling) terminal is properly connected to your compressor blower/fan.
4. If you have a heat-only system, ensure the heat terminal is properly connected to your furnace.
5. If you have a heat/cool system with a 3-wire zone valve, refer to the terminal designations for proper connections.
6. If using the thermostat for limited range applications, follow the instructions provided with the Limited Range Stop Kit (92-0563).
