Product Information

The AH12H09D3B is a combination unit that includes an electric heater and a heat pump. It operates at 230/208 volts and is designed for line cord connection. The unit has a heater with a power rating of 3,500 watts (10,900 BTU) at 230 volts and 2,897 watts (8,900 BTU) at 208 volts. The heater requires a minimum circuit of 20 amps and is recommended to be protected by a 20 amp time-delay fuse or breaker.
In addition to the electric heater, the AH12H09D3B also features a heat pump. The heat pump has a power rating of 720 watts (8,400 BTU) at 230 volts and 690 watts (8,200 BTU) at 208 volts. It has a COP (Coefficient of Performance) of 3.4. This combination unit provides both heating and cooling capabilities.

Product Usage Instructions

Dimensions and Installation:

  • Wall Case Dimensions: A = 30 inches, C = 70 inches
  • Maximum Cord Extension: 30 inches
  • Wall Opening Dimensions: Add 1/4 inch to A and C dimensions for all cut-outs
  • RAB80 Minimum Dimensions: Height = 16-1/4 inches, Width = 42-1/4 inches

Electric Heater:

  • Ensure the unit is connected to a power source with the appropriate voltage (230/208 volts)
  • Make sure the circuit supplying power to the unit is at least 20 amps
  • Use a 20 amp time-delay fuse or breaker to protect the heater

Heat Pump:

  • Connect the unit to a power source with the appropriate voltage (230/208 volts)
  • The heat pump has a power rating of 720 watts (8,400 BTU) at 230 volts and 690 watts (8,200 BTU) at 208 volts
  • The COP of the heat pump is 3.4

ELECTRICAL WIRING

All wiring, including installation of receptacle, must be made in accordance with local electrical codes and regulations.
NOTE : Aluminum wiring may pose special problems – consult a qualified electrician.

230/208 volt units must be plugged into a receptacle. Installation must comply with local electrical codes and regulations.
Power cord is permanently attached on all Hotpoint chassis
