PRE-LIT HANGING BASKET
VTY-990
Read this manual carefully before use and save it for future reference. Save the original box for storage.
SHAPING
TIPS:
- Before shaping, test the lights to ensure they work properly; see installing batteries.
- Handle pre-installed decorations with care.
- Avoid undue strain or stress on the product conductors, connections, and wires.
The branch tips may be compressed for shipping. Each branch tip must be shaped
to its proper position to give the product a natural look. The care and
attention given to this process will result in a genuinely beautiful and
appealing holiday decoration.
Starting at the center, gently grasp the branch tips and spread them out. Work
your way around the basket, adjusting branches, and filling in the gaps to
achieve maximum fullness.
INSTALLING BATTERIES
Requires (3) ‘AA’ Batteries (batteries not included)
TIP: Use quality batteries for maximum illumination time;
low-quality batteries will need to be replaced more frequently.
- Release the latches on the side of the battery box and flip the cover open.
- Paying attention to the positive and negative terminals, gently insert three 1.5-Volt ‘AA’ batteries (not included).
- Close the cover and engage the latches.
OPERATION
- TIMER: Press the power button once to activate the timer function. When the timer function is on, the lights will illuminate for 6 hours then turn off automatically for 18 hours.
- ON: Press the power button a second time to turn the lights on. Lights will remain illuminated until the battery power has been expelled or the unit is manually turned off.
- OFF: Pressing the power button a third time will turn the lights off.
GENERAL USE & CARE
SAFE USE : For indoor use only. Avoid high-traffic areas such as
locations where children and pets play. Keep garland a safe distance away from
all heat sources such as, but not limited to, heat vents, gas or electric
heaters, fireplaces,
candles, etc. Do not secure the wiring of the product with staples or nails or
place them on sharp hooks or nails.
EXPOSURE : Over time, sunlight may degrade and change the color of the
unit.
CLEANING : Clean the garland every couple of weeks to keep it dust-free.
STORAGE : This unit is not intended for permanent installation. When not
in use, maintain the product integrity by storing it as directed.
Cleaning
Do not use water, harmful additives, or abrasive materials to clean any part of this unit.
- Ensure the power button is turned to the ‘OFF’ position before cleaning.
- Gently dust with a soft, dry cloth or a clean feather duster.
Storage
- Remove batteries from the battery box.
- Remove any decorations that are not pre-installed to the unit.
- Carefully place the unit in the original box and tape it shut.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Note, exposure to excessive heat or humidity may damage the branches and/or lighting system.
Troubleshooting
- Press the power button to ensure it is in the ‘ON’ position.
- Make sure the batteries are installed correctly, observe polarity, and ensure contact is good.
- Install new batteries (not included). Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Inspect the lights, wiring and battery box for signs of damage. If the lighting system is damaged, do not use.

- For indoor use only. Damage resulting from outdoor exposure is not covered under warranty.
- For decorative purposes only ─ this item is not a toy!
- Keep the unit a safe distance away from all heat sources such as, but not limited to, heat vents, gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles, etc.
- Do not hang ornaments or other objects from the light string.
- Remove batteries before the unit is stored or if it will not be used for a long period of time.
- Promptly remove expelled batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries. Mixing batteries could cause leakage of the acid inside batteries, damaging the unit.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- LED lights are not replaceable.
- Do not use the lights if there are signs of damage to the bulbs, wiring or battery box.
- Supervise children and pets at all times.
Any modification to the product or failure to follow recommended care will void the product warranty.
